Dr. Claire E Stagg, DDS

After reading several negative comments about Dr. Stagg, I admit I was a bit disappointed. I have seen several dentists in my life who were never able to ascertain the root cause of my aches and pains. Dr. Stagg did. Her approach is not conventional so if you’re looking for someone to just put a bandaid on something that requires major work, Dr. Stagg will not do that. Her holistic approach to proper care does not simply involve teeth alone, but rather with your body as a whole in conjunction with neck and head problems, as well as address subluxations in the neck as part of possible myofascial dysfunction. “Everything is connected” is the way we need to view major health concerns which include lifestyle and work stress balance. As an airline pilot for over 20 years, I know stress. And I also know it must be mitigated. For nearly 10 years I have had an accumulation of stress in an already poorly functioning jaw. Bruxism and clenching were the by-product of lifestyle, horrible sleep… patterns, sinus dysfunction and a slew of other seemingly mild issues that grew into nearly debilitating stress for which many conventional doctors would prescribe medication by way of anti-anxiety or depression drugs. That is not what holistic dentistry and medicine does. If you are willing to approach your medical problems with an open mind, Dr. Stagg will find the root cause, but you must be patient. Your problems did not occur overnight, so don’t expect a diagnosis in one visit either. Finally after 10 years, I am getting my life back thanks to Dr. Stagg and her team.

I moved from Atlanta 4 years ago and I had a holistic really great dentist there. Dr Stagg could run circles around that dentist. She views teeth as connected to the whole body..Mind/Body/Soul I came in to see her because she was holistic and wow, what an amazing change in my life. She is changing my bite, which affects sleep and lots of other things. She is definitely a creative person and I am so glad she picked dentistry to use her creativity. Great for me! What she does is not inexpensive but so worth the change in quality of life! Can't put a price on that! Hopefully the rest of the dental community will start treating patients as a whole picture like Dr. Stagg does. Thanks to her kind, fun staff and Dr Stagg!

I am sharing my experience because I saw the unfortunate review here and thought it would be helpful to others. At first glance I can see why some patients wouldn't understand her. Her understanding goes way above the heads of other dentists who don't have the training and experience she does. Compared to typical dentists, she has practiced advanced holistic dentistry that considers the entire body for several decades. She noticed right off things that another dentist had missed, and over her 30 years has seen several conditions that start with the mouth/bite and affect the neck and entire spine all the way down and everything inbetween. I had to do considerable research to understand everything she diagnosed, and realized that she was right on about everything. She doesn't miss a beat and is well worth paying extra to have her extended exam and expertise. I am sure she has helped extend the lives of many people by preventing health problems that start with the teeth, mouth and bite.… She is very advanced on how the development of the face/jaws/teeth affect the nasal areas (the roof of the mouth is the floor of the nose). Holistic emphases the fact that everything is connected and affects the whole body. I trust this doctor 100%.

After one night of using my Orthotic Appliance that Dr. Stagg prescribed and designed for me I was snoring no more! It was like someone waved a magic wand. My wife was actually checking me during the night to be sure I was breathing. It was incredible after months Dr. Stagg's expertise is outstanding and she has a passion for her work and helping her patients.

I have spent my life going to mediocre dentists until I met Dr. Stagg. She is the first dentist to explain the bigger picture of how the problems with my teeth are relating to the structure of my face, my head, my neck, and my body. At one level, I knew this but she made it a living reality for me. In addition, her clarity concerning the stages of healing and working though various dental problems was so satisfying and reassuring. She took a great amount of time. Finally, the actual work done in my mouth was the most delicate, precise and comfortable that I have ever experienced. I highly recommend Dr. Stagg to the world. Anyone seeking help with dental challenges will be well-served by her.

Dr. Stagg helped me with my TMJ and she created a device that stopped my husband's snoring!!! For that, I am very grateful!
