Clarence Lee

Growing up, I always thought I would become an attorney to affect change and help others on a large scale. However, after working at the Department of Justice, I realized that I felt most fulfilled when I had proximity to those I served. Physical therapy provided the perfect mix of being able to help people each day, pursuing my interest in health and fitness, and tapping into my endless energy to celebrate my patients’ and colleagues’ successes. I am so grateful that I made the career change to become a physical therapist, and I’m ecstatic to be a part of the UNC team. My philosophy of care is to provide individualized treatment to each patient. I feel that by getting to know the patient, their environment, their resources and barriers, and their goals, we can become a strong team and help them maximize their function and quality of life. Clinically, I am most interested in orthopedics, return to sports, and postoperative rehabilitation for conditions such as ACL reconstruction, …rotator cuff repair, and total joint replacements. Outside of work, I like to run, lift, play sports (tennis, ultimate frisbee, and basketball), read, and travel.
