Newly assigned to Dr. Gautreaux, I complained of a skin rash which a dermatologist a few years earlier had diagnosed as a fungus. The problem did not go away until Dr. Gautreaux diagnosed my problem as inflammation and prescribed the correct medicine. She is terrific!

FAILED TO CORRECTLY DIAGNOSE TEST RESULTS FOR BOTH ME AND MY HUSBAND. SHE IS CLEARLY NOT KNOWLEDGABLE AND IS INCOMPETENT.

I have been trying to get an appointment with this doctor for months to find out that she is leaving the practice and for me to find a new pcp. So while doing this I go to try to schedule an appointment with this new pcp to then find out by the call center that I can not do it through the app because it was my first time seeing her (which makes absolutely no sense) so they said to call the office to schedule the appt. Now i call to schedule this appointment, get a new card with this new pcp and find out weeks later that she is also not available for me to see. Now just reading this is a whole run around so just imagine my frustration. I finally speak to someone at the call center once again and she was able to help me get “squeezed” in to get seen due to my run around and my schedule. I go to see Dr. Gautreaux and I waited an HOUR for her and to never be seen. Now this is just ridiculous—I have never dealt with such a long wait time to be seen by someone to think and realize my… appointment would have been so fast I would have seen her for maybe 10 minutes. I would not want to be seen by this doctor again.

While she is a nice person, she is woefully lacking as a physician! Spent little time with me for my general physical examination, talked through the entire exam often about things utterly unrelated to me or my health—even while presumably listening to my heart and lungs with her stethoscope. I don’t know how she could hear anything! I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt and went back to her when I had a specific problem. She barely examined me but made her determination about what my treatment should be and it turned out to be completely inadequate, even after I later asked if additional steps should be taken given my symptoms. And her response to my asking what I should do if my condition worsened was to tell me to go to an ER. Several doctors I have consulted since about my condition were all in agreement that she should have handled it differently and were all in independent agreement about how each of them would have handled it. And now I am paying for it because the lost… opportunity to treat my condition adequately at the earliest possible stage has left me with lingering symptoms that now will take much longer to heal, which they may not do so completely. Dr. Gautreaux is fine if you are looking for someone to chat with and will get you in and out of her office as quickly as possible, but if you want a physician who knows what they are doing, takes the necessary time to examine you properly, seems to actually care about you as a patient and not just take the easy opportunity to make you someone else’s problem, then stay away!
