I saw Dr. Mason because of severe pain in my left knee. After a thorough interview he suggested an injection to relieve to pain and allow me walk somewhat normal again. Dr. Mason explained in depth what was going on in my knee and told me about the medicine he was injecting and that I should feel relief in three days or so. And as predicted I began to feel less and less pain. Now, one week out from the injection I’m feeling very little pain. Thank you Dr. John!

Whenever I have a medical issue or something that I need help with I go to the Sarasota Medical Center and see Dr John Mason. His team of doctors, nurses and assistants are very knowledgeable and capable. I've always had a good experience each time I've gone there from feeling sick to a severe burn. I definitely recommend Sarasota Medical Center because they can treat almost any issue that you're having. Thank you

VERY THOROUGH WITH EXAM. CONCERNED WITH ALL OVER HEALTH ,NOT JUST PRIMARY REASON FOR VISIT. HIGHLY EDUCATED, BUT, EXPLAINS THINGS IN WAY PATIENTS UNDERSTAND. HAS LAB AND XRAY IN OFFICE SO VERY CONVIENT. SEEMS TRUELY COMPASSIONATE DOES NOT PATRONISE AS MANY DOCTORS WILL. ANSWERS ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. HONEST AND DIRECT . NOT EASILY IMPRESSED WITH MANY IN PROFESSION BUT, HE IS MY PRIMARY CARE DOC NOW! MY MOTHER IN MEDICAL BUSINESS, IN DIFFERANT CAPCITY HERSELF AND RESEARCHES ,BEFORE SHE CHOOSES. Dr. Claude John Mason and his staff are beyond excellent. He is always very compassionate and extremely knowledgeable. I have been a patient of Dr. Mason since 2013. His front office staff always try to get the appointment time you want and his nurses are extremely knowledgeable and kind. I would absolutely highly recommend Dr. Claude John Mason.

Staff is really friendly, however it’s really hard to get your prescriptions filled or even talk to a qualified person over the phone. 1st prescription was written incorrectly from the doctor. 2nd prescription took over 2 weeks many phone calls and going into the office to clear up. Now on my 3rd prescription and being asked to come back for another new patient visit to fill it. It’s really bad service.

I had a root canal and it was a horrific experience. I almost aspirated from the blood that poured out of my sinus cavity that was punctured. Anesthetic drugs were placed into my sinus cavity causing a total blockage of my left maxillary sinus. I woke up the next day completely confused, unable to see out of my left eye. I could not process my words to talk. I had severe headache pain. I felt like a stroke patient. Dr John Mason was so patient and caring. He talked to me like a father and helped to calm me down. He ordered me an MRI and some vision testing and I am still under treatment with IM antibiotics and decadron with an ENT. I still may have to have surgery to unblock the sinus and I may still have permanent vision loss due to the sinus pressure on the nerves of my eye. I am scared but I know that Dr Mason is sending me to the right specialists and his office called to make sure I follow up. His office manager Mark is also amazing. He directed me to help me with my insurance… as they were not paying my bills and he assisted me in finding help to finance my medical bills. I just wish Dr Mason was there every day. I think he is the most intelligent doctor with the best bedside manner I have ever seen. Usually the really smart doctors do not seem to care.

Having just relocated to Sarasota and looking for a family physician, my wife and I contacted Dr. Mason's office for an initial appointment. During that first visit and general examination by Dr. Mason and his PA, they recommended a cardiac consult which, as it turns out, saved my life. Shortly thereafter, following two tests by the cardiologist, it was determined all my arteries were greater than 90% blocked. I had exhibited virtually no symptoms (except for two episodes of shortness of breath following significant exertion), yet Dr. Mason and his staff recognized the potential danger and got me moving along the path that led in relatively short order to a five vessel coronary bypass. There was no damage to my heart, and I am well on my way to full recovery. I have no doubt that Dr. Mason and his staff saved my life. My wife and I recommend him with no reservations.

Dr. Mason is, in my opinion, the best Medical Doctor in Sarasota. I Tried three other doctors over the years here in Sarasota none of which really seemed to care for my well being; I was just another appointment to check off. Dr. Mason cares a great deal for each patient. Another key point is that he does not do extra stuff or bill for extra stuff ... he listens, uses the diagnostic tools he needs, including his wealth of experience, and then provides the medical treatment required.
