Great doctor. Dr Baldassano has been by my side every step of the way as I try to manage my mental illness.

Dr. Baldasano was my psychiatrist for 24 years. Dr. Baldasano was always personable although difficult to contact. The solution to every issue was more medication. She followed the findings of others physicians made decades earlier without sufficient reevaluation. She is far more skilled at how to put people on medications than how to take them off. She did not recognize how slowly a taper should be executed while also failing to warn of the danger of protracted withdraw from tapering too rapidly off antipsychotics.

Late Refused to talk to me about the worsening of my spouse’s bipolar disorder and also about the possibility of him being a cover narcissist. Prescribed new meds, didn’t tell me and he got worse She seems to be taking on too much in her job.

overdosed my son on lithium, his kidneys started to shut down, He is still paying for this, his immune system is compromised. he is almost like the boy in the bubble. Too much medicine prescribed.

Always was late on her appointments. Could never get a hold of her when in need of prescriptions. My last appointment was my last straw. I was always nice and always curtious every time I was there with the staff even when the doctor was “running late” I was always patient. however this time they were Nasty. I was crying and they accused me of yelling at them however the African American receptionist was rude to me. There was a witness. I was belittled. It was MY fault she was running late. I should “have known she runs late”. They told me she’d come out and speak to me before her next patient. Nope. Then I told the front desk and she flipped on me saying I can’t control what she does! You were the one who said she would! did but this set me back even more because I had to call out because of this mess. I can’t even tell you how nasty the front girl was.

Cares for my mother who has bipolar type II depression. I attend over 50% visits. Everything you could want in a psychiatrist, excellent bedside manner, an academic so aware of all the most current research, and a fun and intelligent person.

She is the best doctor I have ever been to!!

I'm a current patient of hers, diagnosed Bipolar. Since she's "the best" I was recommended to her. I've only had about 8 appointments with her but she is at MINIMUM 40 minutes late to each appointment. She's extremely overworked. She is not the most warm I will admit - I feel like I can't be 100% honest with her about what I do (drinking, smoking) because she has a tone of judgement in her voice. She was really good at getting me on the right meds that worked for me though. Overall though, with a copay of like $140 every time I see her, I don't think she's phenomenally better then your average shrink.

Wasn't much concerned when I was depressed and suicidal. Poor at prescribing meds.
