Dr. Claudia Carlota Sloan, MD

My visit with Dr Sloan was one of the worst medical experiences I have ever had. I was coming in to establish a PCP. I had never met her before. I told her my main concern was getting genetic testing and a mammogram because my mother had cancer at my age. She said "ok sure, it says here you have stomach pain" I explained to her that I have had IBS since high school and I have learned to manage my symptoms and I wasn't worried about it. She proceeded to brow beat me into signing up for a stool sample and all kinds of other tests because she insisted my IBS diagnosis must be wrong and she needed to start the diagnostic process herself. I told her my stomach didn't concern me and that I was satisfied with the original diagnosis. She refused to listen and just kept telling me if I have stomach pain I need to give her a stool sample. Finally I agreed just to get her to stop bullying me. After the appointment I called back and asked them to please cancel any tests she ordered because I never… wanted to be in a room with her again. 6 months later I felt a lump under my arm and I was diagnosed with breast cancer. If Dr Sloan had just listened to me I could have diagnosed my cancer 6 months earlier.

all around good, thorough, and caring and very medical savvy. spent the time to do her best to not miss anything. a very caring medical professional.

it was good to have a good, caring doctor really dive into my medical problems. it was a shame to see her go. wish i knew where she moved to. i'm tempted to move there too.

Dr. Sloan help me when so many other doctors wouldn't even take the time to see what was going on with my health. She is absolutely the best doctor I've ever seen.
