Dr. Claudio A Deperalta, MD

At Mercy Medical in Canton, Dr. Deparalta was very rude. The staff was too eager to try and get me out of bed, right after having surgery of a ventral hernia. In case you didn't know, these types are fatal, and could lead to death, if not taken seriously. He retired my hernia with surgery and a mesh. The night of my surgery, a nurse said, Tori, after asking the staff to please hand me my purse, came into my room, and dangled my purse right on top of my fresh wound, and as I went to reach for it, she dropped it on my fresh wound, and left as I cussed her out. I CALLED the nurse line, the patient advocate, etc, but they didn't fire her, and Deparalta denied my claims. So, the next day, they started to tt me about going home. My mom was there, and the Dr. Said to order me delaudid, even though I am allergic to opiates. He ordered me to or else he said, "you can leave this hospital ama, and fire me." I did fire him and demanded to be transferred to the Cleveland clinic. They kept making… excuses as to why, and my new case manager wasn't really helping, she was making my pain worse. When I told the Dr that I am highly allergic to narcotics, he yelled at me, and caused me to call the police on him, but they wouldn't help me. He caused my mom to physically fight with me, and it was horrible. I was scared to death. And only two of the nurses were good the whole entire time. Undignified he is, and I wouldn't waste my time with this Dr. I had one of the worst experiences in my whole life, and will never go back. Also, I kept telling them that I am having bad chest pains, so they did a scan on my chest the night before I left, and said that I have a blood clot, and this other Dr put me on xarelto, and I had a bad reaction. Two more scans in three days, and the clot is gone. Hmmmm...something really fishy going on here. The third scan was also done at Mercy, and they demanded that I take the blood thinners, but I said no way. They wouldn't treat my allergic reaction, and because I objected, they FORCED ME OUT OF THE HOSPITAL. I will never ever go back to that place. The nurses screwed with my medicine, causing me a fever, and I was so sick I couldn't eat for three days. So, that is MERCY MEDICAL center in Canton Ohio, and Claudio Deparalta. He is Dr death.

He’s punctual, kind, actually funny. I would recommend anyone go to him. He’s removed my gall bladder, my daughter’ gall bladder, did my colonoscopy and scope. Very professional.

Excellent Doctor. Extremely fast appointments and very clean surgery with minimal discomfort. His bedside manner combined with straightforward to the point medical advice has earned my trust.
