Dr. Clay Brooke Hudson, MD

I was "passed down" to Dr. Hudson when Dr. Childrey had no available openings for an appointment. I wasn't thrilled at all. This is not an area of medicine that you want to just share with anyone. I arrived at the appointment with trepidation. My trepidation soon turned to relief upon meeting him. I am not a small talk person so I normally get in and get out as soon as possible but his light banter and small talk but me at ease instantly. I didn't feel uneasy speaking to him which is a big deal for me. He genuinly seemed to care (whether he did or not, it meant a lot to me). That has been about 4 years ago and I have never once gone back to Dr. Childrey (not that he isn't a great doctor also,, but because I think Dr. Hudson just "fit the role" of the /OBGYN for me.) I liked him so much I started taking my 16 year old daughter there when she started having medical issues and an appointment with a OB/GYN was recommended. She was so nervous (as any 16 year old girl should be) but… after meeting him and talking with him for a while you wouldn't know that she hadn't already been to see him before that date. When we left she told me that that visit was the best one she ever had and she really liked him as a doctor. That is saying a lot for a girl who had every -ologist doctor you could imagine because of her medical issues. Now when either of us go back, he asks about things he has remembered that we have talked about in the past, not just medical concerns but questions about family or events he knew happened between the last time you saw him and the current appointment. He really makes an embarrassing or awful situation not so embarrassing or awful. I hope he stays in Columbus for a long time to come. I have had 6 different OB/GYN in the last 25 years because they all seem to leave the Columbus area. Colunbus needs more doctors like Dr. Hudson. I'm getting too old for changing doctors now.

Dr Hudson is a wonderful doctor. So kind. I wish that I had found him sooner.

I so wish he was back at Sanders Clinic.

I drive over an hour to see Dr. Hudson because he is the BEST! I've been seeing him for about 13 years and have had wonderful care through both children and after. Highly recommend if you are looking for an OBGYN.

I THINK HE IS ONE OF THE BEST DOCTORS I HAVE EVER USED. WOULD RECOMMEND HIM TO ALL MY FRIENDS

Compassionate, caring, understanding, among many more. My first sonwwas born with CP so with my second pregnancy everything was very high risk. Dr. Hudson was a God send. He sent me to Jackson to have test run and found out I have a blood clotting disorder. He saw me twice a week during almost my whole pregnancy and found the fluid was going somewhere at 32 weeks. I had to have a c-section and he was very caring and sung and laughed with me the entire time cause I was so scared. My baby is now a healthy 7 year old with a healthy little brother to boot. I won't use anyone else at that clinic and would love to find Dr. Hudson.

Dr Hudson is a truly wonderful caring doctor. I am saddened to hear he is no longer with the Sanders clinic. He has been my doctor for several several years now as well as my daughters. He did my hysterectomy. He is such a kind compassionate person. He is more than a doctor. He is a caring person. A great friend.

Awesome, wonderful, friendly, kind, caring, understanding, patient, ...and so much more. Today I am saddened as I received a letter from Sanders Clinic stating that he is no longer with them. Not only has he been my doctor/friend but my daughters too. We will miss him and his awesome care.

He is not just a great doctor to me but also a friend. You know when he is taking care of you that everything will be ok. He is compassionate about his work and treats everyone like family. I could not ask for a better doctor!
