Dr. Janes and his staff are all so knowledgeable and approachable. I have took both of my kids to him, and he always takes great care of them. The nurses are so sweet to the kids and will call you back promptly if you have questions about your child's health. The evening hours are also a big plus!!

He was my children’s Pediatrician. When my daughter got sick for an extended period of time we saw some Specialists. Dr. James was the one who discovered the beginning of the problem. He referred us to a Endocrinologist who told us when we walked in the room “ I don’t even know why you’re here. Your Dr shouldn’t have sent you. I’ll do some tests but there’s nothing wrong”. She even called Dr. James to argue with him about it. Tests were done and Dr. James was right on point! My children are grown but recommended him to other family. He has 5 of our children he takes care of ????

Absolutely my favorite doctors and staff of any office....EVER! I wish Kids Central accepted adults. I whole heartedly trust that they have my kiddos best intrest as their top priority. I feel like my kids could not be in better hands than Dr James and Mel. We've been with them for 7 years now and I have zero things negative to say. We aren't just numbers there. We are friends. They know my kid's lives. From my oldest daughter's graduation plans to knowing when their grandmother died. They allow us to call and ask questions without forcing us to make an office visit. And a doctor calls you back! Even when I've paid for an office visit, out of pocket, it was extremely reasonable. And Helpmommy.com is an absolute lifesaver and quite entertaining. Dr James' book is my go to baby shower gift because it is packed with great info but mostly it's fun to read. I can't say enough great things about these folks. Dr James, his staff and his awesome wife are genuinely people that… want to help make the world a better placejj and I am so thankful I made the choice to entrust my babies to them.

Dr James is so intelligent and yet easy to talk to and down to earth. My son had a fever, sore throat and was sleeping a lot. Strep was going around, so I thought he had it. Strep came back negative. Dr James says lets run a mono test. Most drs would have sent us home, but Dr James seems to know whats going around at all the schools. Yes, my 8 year old tested positive for it. Mel works in the evenings and is a blessing if you need an after hours appointment. My son came home from school and was playing outside. He fell on a rock and hurt his arm. We weren't sure if he broke it or not. I called Mel to see if we could come in. He looked at it and sent us to hospital for xrays. Mel waited in the office for us. It turned out to be fine. I could go on about weekend emergencies that brought them into the office for us. Phone calls early in the morning (I think Dr James is a morning person). My kids love how the office is decorated. I love their videos. It's a great office and why… Dr James is the absolute best pediatrician!

My sons been going here for almost 16 years. All my grandchildren see him for care. Dr James and his staff are wonderful. It’s a kid friendly atmosphere and he loves his patients. My son has never been afraid of the Dr and has received the absolute best care every time we’ve needed him. He is also supportive and educational resource for parents.

My daughter was born with a partially defective kidney and has had two surgeries to correct. She got a terrible kidney infection and Dr. James did the urine culture. He prescribed her antibiotics but her fever jumped to 105 before we could give her the first dose. We took her to children’s where she was admitted. The next day around 1pm the phone in her room rang and it was Dr. James checking on her. I told him what her urologist said and he called him with the results of her culture. Dr. Smith was able to get her the antibiotic in an IV quickly because of Dr. James. We were out of the hospital the next day and her fever was only spiking to 102. If Dr. James hadn’t called to check on one his own, who knows how long her fever would have stayed that high or went even higher. He truly loves all his kids and cares about saving money for the parents. He is hands down the best pediatrician in the Southeast, probably in the US.

I could not be more comfortable with a Dr and his staff than I am with Dr James. From the time my son was an infant he talked to me, a first time mom, in verbiage I could understand. And he speaks right to your child, the patient, not just to the parents. My son loves dr james.

This is the best Pedatric doctors office in East TN. Dr. James and Mel are amazing. My son loves them! I recommend them to everyone!!

Dr James and the P.A. Mel are great, nurses are awesome too. There is always someone available to answer questions, and if needed they will call you back. My kids love him, he is easy going, knowledgeable, ask questions and really listens to parents answers. Very down to earth, but with a sense of humor. I wouldn't change him for anything even though I have to drive quite a distance just because I want him to be my kids pediatrician.

I at first really liked this pediatrician, as he has a very cute office and he seemed very friendly with everyone. But the past two times we have been there (both for the same child in under a month), we waited over an hour both times, and we paid our $40 co-pays each time for him only to tell us to stick it out. Now, the day after our last visit, my daughter still has a 102 fever. Not happy.

Dr. James if fun, accurate and accessible! We love Dr James and his staff. We have seen this practice since my 9 yr old was a baby and he never dreads dr appts! Highly recommended!

My son elijah loves his Dr he has been his Dr for 9 years .he explains everything that is going on with your child and never makes you feel dumb no matter how silly it is.you would only be so lucky to have him as your child's Dr.

Dr. James is the BEST. My kids beg to see him when they are sick. The comments at my house are "take me to Dr. James, he will make me better"!!!

Rude, condesending, and uncaring. I went for 2 visits w/3 of my children. I will not return or recommend him to any of my friends.

We have two boys and have been with Dr. James since our first son's birth - - 5 years now. Dr. James is accessible, direct, and has been correct with every diagnosis. And our boys love him - he has a way with kids.

I have two boys under 4 and both of them, and my husband and I love Doc James!
