Dr. Clifford Harold Schilke, MD

I am sad to see he is still in practice. Iit is not just about bedside manner, I saw and reported very unethical and dangerous treatment. I expressed significant fear when I reported him due to excessive medicating an much more. Hospital was cited and had to post corrective plan. I am getting back into my field after raising kids and wanted to assure he is not employed anywhere I apply. He is the reason, in addition to others covering up for him, the sole reason I left my profession. I am back and hoping this review saves a patient tremendous pain from unethical and dangerous treatment I observed

As stated by others, Dr. Schilke seems to believe he's the only person around who knows anything about psychiatry, and he will rush a serious diagnosis just to try to get you on medication quickly (and only the expensive ones are worth it at all). STAY AWAY. I tried to give him a chance, but it turned into me arguing with him why I SHOULDN'T be on medication, rather than him, I don't know, showing some compassion?!? I'm all for trusting a doctor and respecting their ability to tell patients what is best for them (even when they don't want to hear it), but he was attempting to throw serious shade on ALL other psychiatrists and speak to my situation with very little empirical data. Find another doctor.

He insulted my condition multiple times, talks more about his political beliefs, and getting insurance money than my condition. I have seen many wonderful and excellent doctors and this guy wasn't only the worst Doctor I ever met, he was among the rudest and worst human beings I ever encountered. Stay away from this man.

As others have said, this mean is incredibly rude and has NO bedside manner...he does not care about his patients. RUN AWAY !

If you need the right medication, Dr. Schilke is the man to go to. He's condescending - even rude -and misjudged my motives once - but I believe he is a very caring man. He also will not allow himself to be manipulated, which was good in the case of our son who is under his treatment, and yet he works with my son.

Dr. Schilke is very intelligent. I started going there when I was 15. Right away he wanted to try a natural approach rather than just starting medication without getting to know what the issues were. I liked that he tried that instead of jumping right to medication. After awhile I did need to go on medication, but he was always very careful since I was young and was never on meds before. One thing I don't like is how short he is with you on the phone, but then again, he makes all the appointments himself without any other staff. Overall, Dr. Schilke knows what he's talking about, and now after 7 years of seeing him, I'm off the meds and feeling great.

This doctor is mean... I am suffering from depression and find it hard to even get out of bed in the morning. I was late to my appointment and I called to let him know. When I got there he pretty much kicked me out of his office and said he wouldn't help me because I was late. I find this to be unprofessional and certainly uncaring. Not good qualities for a doctor.

Personable and compassionate.Has alot of knowledge and wisdom in prescribing medications.Recommended to anyone who needs a trustworthy and acurate diagnosis

I've been a patient of Dr. Schilke for the past 8 years and have never found better care anywhere. I've never waited more than 10 miuntes for an appointment. He's not affectionate or funny. But he diagnosed me accurately and has me on appropriate medicine for the first time in my life. He does not have any office staff and books all his own appointments. This may make him seem abrupt on the phone. But he is not going to waste time chit-chatting when he has patients to take care of. If you don't like his mannerism go see someone else. I've had doctors that were as nice as my best friend but they did not treat my condition as well as he does. You need to decide if you need a good doctor or a best friend. I, quite frankly, am choosing this doctor to treat my mood swings so my best friend will want to be around me!!!

He was the only doctor who would see minor children, so my hands were tied. He is complete jerk. No people skills, and couldn't care less about me or my child's condition. Run far away.
