Dr. Clifton Howard Hunt, MD

Very disappointing, I came from Midnight shift & has been trying to call the Office of Dr. Hunt's for my husband prescription Meds several times and all I am getting is just a run around communication. The Staff by the name of Beverly was not helpful and very unprofessional. We have been trying to call them several times for my husband's prescription medicine and kept on saying we have to call the insurance and does not need the pre authorization. She said she already fax the authorization to "Cover My Meds"and she already done her part. And gave me the number of "Cover my Meds". When I called the number, the person said they only talk to the provider's not the patient. This time, I called the Optimum RX and told them about what Dr. Hunt's staff told us. The representative told me it should not be that way. She should be accommodating us, They just need to ask certain questions and after that they can approved the prescription Meds. They should be helping the patients instead… of making it difficult for them to get their medicine. She suggested to me to file a complained to the Director's office of the said practice so that patients and their family can be treated properly .

Dr. Hunt did more for me in 3 weeks (sleep-apnea) than my previous doctor did for me in 10 years. Happy I found him !!

Unbelievable!! Moved to De a month ago and called to set up appt with this Dr. His policy is he won't take on new patients previously seen by another specialist even though the previous Dr is in another state!

My regular doctor sent me to Dr. Hunt for my asthma 5 years ago, and I immediately switched my mother to him as well. She'd been doing very poorly but Dr. Hunt turned her around. I never knew I had sleep apnea only felt tired a lot. Am on cpap now thanks to Dr. Hunt and finally have energy again. lost a bit of weight too.

Each time I see Dr. Hunt he displays a professional and thorough approach to my needs. This includes taking all the time needed to explain medical tests and other issues. Never have I felt rushed or hurried out the door. A much better approach to healthcare than the "big business" practices where you wait in a gigantic room to see one of 20 physicians on staff.

I felt like I finally found a doctor who knew what he was doing. My chronic asthma is under control after seeing 3 other doctors who didn't know how to manage my asthma and other illnesses.

Office staff is VERY unprofessional along with the doctor. He answered his cell phone at least 4 times and left the room with no explanation while he was consulting with me. His office staff is rude to patients and their family members. Would not recommend this doctor to my worst enemy.
