Smooth sailing all the way with Dr Blackwood. He answered all of my questions and had me feeling confident about my healing after surgery. Big thanks to him and his entire team for a brilliant job and a friendly experience.

I have never felt so unheard, dismissed, unimportant or small and insignificant. He was just short of rude. My time with HIS HIGHNESS lasted approximately 3 minutes. I wouldn't go back to this guy if he was the last ortho doctor on the planet.

Dr. Blackwood did a hip replacement surgery last spring. It was a fast recovery and the hip is very functional. Now I need a knee replacement and he is my first choice. A heads up: Dr speaks very fast so be ready to listen fast.

There are likely to be many excellent orthopedic surgeons in the Boulder/Denver area ... then there are those few like Dr. Blackwood, who sets the bar a bit higher. I trusted him with both knees, my wife's knee ... hence, it made sense to have him review the status of the hips that were bothering me. No surgery, for wic I am grateful. Dr. B and his Boulder Center for Ortho are an asset of Boulder County. Thanks to you all for putting me back together. Cheers! G

We heard he was the best and it proved true! Was fairly easy to get an appointment and his team walked us through the whole process. Yasmeen is awesome! The surgery and recovery were easier than I anticipated and when I was worried about a problem, Yasmeen fit me in and put my mind at ease. Saw Dr Blackwood my first visit, the morning of surgery, and at my 6 week follow up appointment. He was professional and friendly, but not chatty. I was told, “He’s all about the work.” And that’s fine with me. Otherwise, I saw Yasmeen, his PA, who is warm and is good at explaining details and what to expect. She also was very good about calling back when we had questions. Advanced wound care, very different from what I had with my first knee replacement, made for a faster healing time. And the scar is far “prettier “ than my other, too! Highly recommend!
