Dr. Clinton C Haley, MD

My son was diagnosed with HIV a year ago and is now suffering with depression. I tried to make the appt with Dr. Sloan but was told it was Dr. Haley's week to receive new patients. After my son waited alone in the exam room for over 50 minutes Dr. Haley came in with a female medical student and never asked his patient if he was comfortable with that but proceeded to ask questions about how the HIV was contracted. Dr. Haley made immediate assumptions about my son that are not true. He humiliated my son and shamed him and made him feel abandoned by the very type of doctor who is supposed to be the most compassionate and knowledgeable. He did not even listen when my son answered his questions because he repeated his questions on two different instances. I do not believe Dr. Haley should be seeing patients with HIV because he perpetuates the stigma that persons with HIV deserve less than compassionate care. His approach is very clinical and does not consider the best approach for… the treatment of the whole person. I am really surprised that he is affiliated with the North Texas Infectious Disease Consultants.
