I am now approaching ten years of emergency medicine experience in both the military and civilian sectors. My personal emergency medicine philosophy remains uncompromising: if someone is going to put their life in my hands, I am going to do whatever it takes to operate as close to my absolute best at all times. Simple in theory, but exceptionally difficult in practice.
