Dr. Clive Stannard Grant, MD

Dr. Grant removed my left thyroid and checked in on me after I came to. Excellent surgeon. Tells you each and every step before surgery. I was there in 2014 and am going to recommend him to everyone for surgery.

Without going into a lot of detail my medical situation overall has specific potential complications with uncertain outcomes all of which have added to my being very emotionally upset for the first visit with Dr. Grant. He put me at ease immediately despite an uncertain medical outlook. He made direct eye contact, answered all of my questions to my satisfaction, and listened to me with genuine concern. I left my appointment feeling confident that whatever final decisions are to be made will be in my best interest. I want to thank him and his team for treating me with dignity and respect.

I was personally referred to Dr. Grant by my brother-in-law, who was a Department Head at Mayo Clinic and also a physician. I had been referred to Mayo Clinic after being given the diagnosis of Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Type 1. What was most impressive was the team approach to medicine they have at Mayo. It is very empowering to sit in an exam room with 3 different world class physicians and be given options that I chose. Dr. Grant was my endocrine surgeon. He performed 2 surgeries on me, including a Whipple Procedure and a resection of my pancreas and a spleenectomy. I was out of the hospital within a few days of each. I can't speak highly enough about Dr. Grant or Mayo Clinic.

I can't say enough positive comments on Dr. Grant and his entire team. They made you feel like you were their only patient; explained the procedures and what to expect or what not to expect. The surgery was a success. I would highly recommend Dr. Grant and his team.
