Dr. Cody Stephen Harlan

After being diagnosed with a labral tear 5 years ago I was told by several orthopedic surgeons in the KC area that there was nothing they could do. I had excruciating pain for all of these years and I just couldn’t take it anymore so I decided to look into finding another orthopedic surgeon that would give me his opinion. After very thorough research I came across Dr. Cody Harlan and I decided to make an appointment to see what he suggested. Dr. Harlan, along with his amazing nurse, had the best bedside manner I’ve ever seen, and I am a nurse so I’ve seen my fair share. Dr. Harlan was extremely thorough and told me, after viewing my MRI and X-rays, that I had FAI, and that’s what cause my tear, and that he could do arthroscopic surgery and alleviate the pain I was having related to these issues. I agreed to have surgery and I have to say that it was the best decision I’ve ever made. I am 2 weeks post op right now and have minimal pain from the surgery. I have absolutely no pain that I… had before and I had no complications at all. I highly suggest if you have any of these issues that I had you pay him a visit. I also have to have my right hip done at some point and I have no doubts or hesitation at all to do this all over again. Many thanks to Dr. Harlan and his staff because I will finally be hip pain free and I’ll be able to get back to my running after all these years!

Dr. Cody Harlan's one on one approach towards pinpointing pain from follow ups to taking away my pain were absolutely amazing. Dr. Cody Harlan has performed hip arthroscopy on both my hips. Healing time was quick and most importantly avoided hip replacement in my future. If you have groin pain, don't prolong and endure the pain. I highly recommend Dr. Cody Harlan ..my knees are next
