Dr. Colin Duncan Ireland, DO

Was treated by Doctor Ireland in the emergency room at South County Hospital. His ability to explain things is better than any Doctor I have encountered in my 76 years. Just a small comment on his bed side manner which speaks to his attention to the patient. Because I was going for a CT scan I couldn't drink water . As I was being wheeled back to cubicle after the scan, Dr. Ireland was standing in the hall with a glass of ice chips for me.

Dr. Ireland was my fathers physician when he was taken by ambulance to the hospital last month. The care he gave was phenomenal, but what meant the most to me was how he treated my father and our family. He explained everything so well, even though the atmosphere and situation was chaotic. They were literally racing to save my dads life. My dad was eventually taken for emergency surgery and we lost him hours later. Dr. Ireland came to the room my family was waiting in after he had passed on to console us as we grieved. The fact that he left the er to come to a different floor to see us meant so much. Dr. Ireland is not only a skilled physicialn, he is a caring one.
