Before surgery and after surgery great bedside manner very informative anybody says any different I don’t think we’ll be happy with anybody

I had hernia surgery by Maccoll and had pain afterwards. He said it would go away and told me that "everyone is different", most pain will go away. Mine didn't. We did a CT scan, we got the results back and he said, he did everything perfectly so he didn't know what my problem was. I went to a second DR who asked if I did any physical therapy or if Maccoll had suggested anything to solve the pain, I said no. Maccoll doesn't seem to care about the people he operates on. He only wants to get you in for surgery and then kick you out. I would have found another surgeon in hindsight.

Dr, McColl did my surgery and it went great. He is a wonderful doctor and I would recommend very highly. If you need help with weight he is the man to see.

While Dr. McColl is not my regular Dr. at the Bariatric center, he was on call when I went to the E.R., I believe I am alive because he said that he needed to do surgery instead of watching & waiting. I am actually alive because he did surgery on me a 2nd time while another Dr. said to wait & watch me. He told everyone to get me to the E.R. NOW. By the time I got to the ER, I had 1,600cc of blood in my abdomen. Had he not had me rushed to the ER, I would not be alive. So, I thank God & Dr McColl for being there to keep me alive.

He was very nice in person. Then I went to the patient portal where his notes were written and I couldn't believe my eyes. He was so negative about me, and his notes were mostly inaccurate. I would not use him if I had a choice. May go to Corvallis.
