I have been extremely pleased with the care I have received from the entire dental team at Metro Dental in Bloomington. All staff members are friendly and professional. The office is clean and well organized, and patients are seen in a timely manner. I have especially appreciated the treatment my entire family has received from Dr. Colin McCarty, who is a very skilled dentist. I trust his professional judgment and his skill in completing the work he recommends. I have referred friends to him with confidence that they will also be pleased with his dental care.

I'm a 41 year old married attorney, mother of 4 children, ranging in ages 5 months to 14 years. Metro Dental is the fast food of dental care--get you in, get you out, bill as much as they can, don't listen to the patient or establish a dental/patient relationship. As soon as you walk in the hygnenists hawk you for x-rays. None of my children have a cavity. I am 41 and have never had a cavity. Our family takes dental care seriously and we are diligent about what we eat, drink and how frequently we floss and brush our teeth. Upon visiting Dr. McCarty (and I use the word "doctor" hesitantly), he refused to give me an exam or even allow my teeth to be cleaned without x-rays. He did not provide me with any medical explanation for this, other than that he was "the dentist" and was doing it "for my protection." I refused consent of x-rays as there is no bass in fact for such wasteful procedures, as well as the fact that they are usafe cumulatively, in my opinion. My dental… insurance covers x-rays 100% and he was more interested in the bottom line than me being able to get my teeth cleaned. Moreover, he was cocky and condescending. I walked out of there with no services provided. I will not be going back and most certainly will not bring my children back to this "McDental" establishment!!
