From day one Dr. Mooney told me my cancer was curable, even when it changed to stage 4 inflammatory breast cancer ER/PR - HER 2 +. My new oncologist said right there it was not curable and even said it wasn't curable from day one. Dr. Mooney never prescribed medication to stop it from spreading to my brain, he never scanned from my neck up and when I called with symptoms he talked me out of getting scans. 2 days later I was in surgery to remove tumors from my brain. He knows nothing about inflammatory breast cancer and because of that it metastasized to my brain. I only have a few years to live. My kids, husband and all of my family are upset that they are losing me because of Dr. Mooney's lack of knowledge of my disease. He never told me he didn't have the knowledge to treat me.

Dr. Mooney treated me for lung cancer in early 2016, and in 2019, I am here to tell about it. Dr. Mooney is a very focused care provider. His manner is thorough, detailed, professional and expert. He explains things clearly, and will provide very clear information to you IF you ask for it. He cares immensely about his patients. He is friendly and quiet. Don't expect him (or any professional) to overtly jovial. His job is serious, and he is all business. He is very good at his job - helping you get through your oncological treatments and returning you to health. I continue to see Dr. Mooney for regular follow up visits. His relationship has grown to be easier, and more casual now that we are not so focused on urgent matters. He did a great job for me.

Dr. Mooney is a scholar. That is, he knows his patients and researches the latest literature re. your case. He asks all the right question leading to patient open ended descriptions. Great communicator, knowledgeable healer. Some doctors can fix you, others actually heal you. Healing requires a caring disposition and quest for knowledge. Dr. Mooney falls in the latter category. Very good doctor.
