Dr. Colin Stanley Pope, MD

I am in full agreement with the 2 previous reviews. Dr. Pope is the best psychiatrist that I have had to pleasure to meet. I have worked with 3 psychiatrists previous to meeting Dr. Pope and he is far and away the best I have seen. He is very attentive, encouraging, thoughtful and kind. The staff is friendly and very helpful. At each visit he encourages me to call him before my next scheduled visit if I have any questions or concerns. I have taken him up on that offer a few times and he has called me back as promptly as his schedule will allow, sometimes within a half hour! I actually feel more hopeful than I have in years that together with his knowledge and general demeanor that I have a chance of getting my bipolar condition under control. I would recommend him without hesitation.

Dr. Pope has a wonderful bedside manner. He is laid back, accepting and knowledgeable of different beliefs and views which makes him extremely easy to talk to. He explains things in a gentle manner which gives one a good understanding of an idea which also makes one more receptive. He has a good humor about him and is definitely not one of those doctors that are "flat" and look at you like you're a specimen. He is the best psychiatrist that I have seen. I highly recommend him.

It is hard to get an initial appointment at Tri-County. That said, Dr. Pope is the best Psychiatrist that I have ever worked with. He has a very laid back and quiet manner, but he knows his stuff.
