Dr. Colin L Smith

About Dr. Colin Smith, D.M.D
Dr. Colin Smith was born and raised in Alberta, Canada.  He attended college both in Canada and the United States and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Brigham Young University.  He attended Oregon Health Sciences University School of Dentistry in Portland, Oregon.  Upon graduation, Dr. Smith was accepted into the University of Utah, where he completed a General Practice Residency, receiving advanced training in all of the dental specialties.  At the conclusion of the Residency, he returned to Oregon to begin his private practice. 
Dr. Smith taught for three years at the Oregon Health Sciences University as an Associate Professor in the Prosthodontic department (Crown, Bridge, Implants and Dentures).  He received the Fellowship award in the Academy of General Dentistry for showing commitment to continued dental education and a thorough knowledge of all dental disciplines. He has served for 4 year as a board member of the …Academy of General Dentistry and is the chair of the Programs Committee, bringing in lecturers to speak Oregon Dental Meetings.
Dr. Smith has greatly enjoyed the opportunity to live and work in the wonderful area of Lake Oswego where he has immersed himself in the community.  Dr. Smith has coached youth sports for many years enjoys volunteering time in his church. In his leisure time, Dr. Smith enjoys the many outdoor activities that Oregon is famous for, especially watersports and golf. 
Dr. Smith is honored to have been voted a Top Dentist by his peers in 2008 and 2009 as seen in the Portland Monthly Magazine.
