Dr. Colleen Patricia Begley, MD

I recently tried to make an appointment with Dr. Begley only to be told that I needed to upload my credit card information to a website first - this was office policy! Even though I have insurance and pay my account on time i was informed i had to do this in order to make an appointment. I asked if there was an alternative and was told i would need to make a $100 deposit. Must admit not very impressed with the office policy dictates, I have not come across this any where else. I have to wonder if this affects a patients rights to see a doctor.

I should have listened to all of the other reviewers. Dr. Begley refused to see me despite my issue being a cancer concern (I already have breast cancer too), because I was unwilling to give them a $100 deposit or my credit card number PRIOR to having any services rendered. Seriously, I'm so glad I stood up for myself and walked out!!!

Dr. Begley has a horrible bedside manner, she pushes off my questions and concerns.Brandy spends more time with you (her nurse) answers all questions and shows more concern than Dr. Begley.I feel like its a cattle call when going to the office your wait time is never less than 40 minutes, she over books daily and maybe thats why your always rushed when at the appointment.

Horrible dr. I have had two surgeries because of this woman. Worst dr I have ever been to! Had emergency surgey once because of her and then a second one that I didn't even need. She wants money up front to even show up at the surgery. She is very incompetent!!!!! Worst waits time because she overbookes and then get behind. There should be NO stars for this lady. Cost me thousands of dollar and tons of pain!

I went to see Dr Begley for multiple issues with peri menopause. The only thing she seemed interested in was getting me set up with several future appointments for expensive procedures that my insurance did not cover. I had questions about the procedures which her asst Brandy would not answer over the phone and I was told if I wanted more info I would have to come in for the procedure to get it. At the time, my health insurance had a $2500 deductible and I could not afford to know what I was getting into without knowing the costs as well as why I needed it. I could not get any straight forward answers so will never go back as all they seem interested in seems to be getting money out of you without telling you why you need the procedures. I will not let any doctor just tell me that I need expensive procedures without telling me why as well as what they entail.

I was seeing Dr. Begley for my pregnancy when I had a miscarriage. After getting an ultrasound to confirm what I suspected I waited in the tiny room alone for over 45 minutes! When she finally came in she was nice and allowed me to ask questions, but didn't seem very knowledgeable about what happens to a women's body during a miscarriage. I did a few follow up visits, but had to stop when the nurse taking my blood kept bruising my arms and I have fairly thick veins. If you have normal pregnancy I am sure she would be great, but I would not recommend her or her staff if you have complications.

I wanted a knowledgeable gynecologist in the Broomfield area. I had no immediate medical issues. Dr. Begley took an amazing amount of time with me; she asked in- depth questions, listened (intently)and made suggetions. She has a professional,cheery, and open manner. Although she seems to have a triving obstetrical practice, she warmly welcomed an older patient needing routine exams. She also FOLLOWS-UP!

I first went to see Dr. Begley when I was pregnant with my first child. She was very friendly, but over time started dismissing some of my questions and concerns, which I found a bit frustrating. After giving birth, I had some very painful excess scar tissue grow up around the area where I tore, which I had to have removed later by another doctor in the practice. When I confided to the new doctor that I believed the excess tissue was a result of Dr. Begley's surgical procedure, the new doctor did not confirm my suspicions outright, but told me she is more careful than Dr. Begley in stitching people up.

My husband and I are expecting our first child and had to do fertility treatmenst to get there. Dr Begley was super excited when she found out we were expecting she is bubly and fun as a doctor and has put me a soon to be new paranoid mom at ease many times already during my pregnancy.
