Dr. Colleen Irene Kennedy, MD

I was referred to Dr. Kennedy through the ER. Her office was booking out a month but they squeezed me in within a week because I was on a liquid diet until I could be seen. Very, very nice over the phone and helpful. Dr. Kennedy was amazing. She was SO thorough, totally made me feel at ease, great bedside manner all the way around. I'm so happy to have found her. I'll definitely continue seeing her in the future for my follow up care. Totally recommend.

Dr> Kennedy is a great surgeon, HOWEVER, the office staff is absolutely HORRIBLE. I've been a patient of Dr. Kennedy's since 2012, and it's been the same from 2012 up to now, 2019. I stopped going to see her back in 2013 after just getting completely fed up with the front desk. Why these people think you're just some number and treat patients with disrespect and something approaching disdain is mind-boggling. I assume the fish rots from the head. It has to be the head of the office side of things because Dr. Kennedy is NOTHING like her front desk. There are plenty of other great surgeons in the DFW area. I would advise to call around and test the waters on how the front desk handles things, because you're going to be dealing with them 95% of the time, versus the 5-10 minutes you'll spend with the Dr.

Dr. Kennedy is a very good weight loss surgeon. She explains things thoroughly and takes the time to answer all questions. In In my case I set the goals of not being a diabetic any longer and getting off of blood pressure medications. Well my goals are completely met. So far I have lost 60 pounds and I am down from 8 prescription pills to zero. This is a huge accomplishment and I feel better than I have in years.

On the phone during your appointment time that you wait 2 hours before you actually see. her. Messed up the cur on the sleeve it cost me 3 months in the hospital. Dr. that fixed the leak said it was one of the worst sleeve jobs he has seen in a long time!!

This was by far the best OBGYN office I've ever been to. Keep it up! :)

Having Dr Kennedy perform my Gastric Sleeve surgery, was a wonderful experience.

The decision to have weight loss surgery was easy but deciding on who to trust was not. I went in with my research and mind set on what I wanted. Dr. Kennedy took an unlimited amount of time with me, advising, counseling and helping me to weigh the options and I was blown away. I have zero regrets on what we determined would be best for me and my health. I have had no complications in the 5 months since my surgery and would do it again. She is compassionate and encouraging but a reality checker. This is my investment ans she is supporting me the entire way. My only piece of contention has been my interactions with the office staff. I sit for a while in the office unacknowledged, staff does not speak and gives the vibe of being disconnected. I made the decision early on that Dr. K was who I was embarking on this journey with and not her staff so I decided early on that I would not let them be a detterent to me choosing the best physician in Dallas for my gastric sleeve.

Dr. Kennedy was a very attentive and caring person. Not because she had to be but I believe it was that she wanted to be. I would highly recommend Mrs. Kennedy for anybody who is seeking an individual who puts her patients before herself.

Great Bedside manor. One of the best doctors I have ever had. She answers tough questions with the truth. She really cares for her patients. Her office staff is great Especially Robbie who stays on top of things in a timely manner. I would recommend Dr. Kennedy to my family and close friends as She is the best.
