Dr. Colleen Renne Macinnis, MD

I have had botox injections from a dermatologist in California and thought I would try Dr. MacInnis now that I've moved to Florida. The staff made an appointment for me with Grace, a PA who said she wasn't comfortable with injecting in a spot that would correct my asymmetrical eyebrow on one side so offered to inject between my brows and then made an appointment for me to come back in two weeks to correct it with the Doctor. When I returned, I brought up my disappointment with the results which the doctor agreed with but she was unwilling to correct the situation and refused to even do what Grace had said she would do for the price I originally paid. Therefore, it was a complete waste of my time and money. When I said I would have to give her an unfavorable review, she said go ahead, she really didn't need the business. YIKES!

On one of my visits for a suspicious lesion on my right cheek I was not feeling at all well and told that to the assistant. I was kept sitting in the exam room for over an hour without explanation. I finally had to leave and was admitted to the hospital that night for a week-long stay. More importantly, when I returned a couple of weeks later for examination of the lesion her assistant did a "punch" biopsy and I was told I'd be contacted with the results. I called at the end of three weeks and was told no results were ready and to call back in another couple of weeks. Which I did, only to be told that microscopic exam showed squamous cell carcinoma but they had "gotten it all" and "no further treatment" was necessary. The lesion remained. On consultation with another dermatologist I was told that his biopsy showed the cancer is still there and definitely needs further treatment. During the several visits I made to Dr. McInnis' office I saw her only the first time for, perhaps,… 90 seconds. I never saw her again. Any further exam and/or biopsy was done by an associate on some level. I am extremely displeased with Dr. McInnis and am hopeful the correct treatment for my condition will not have been delayed an inordinate amount of time due to her lack of attention. I do not recommend this doctor to anyone and wish I could give her ratings below the "poor" category.

I had a surgery on my nose that upon removing the bandages was a bit shocking. Not only werethe incisions much larger than expected for such a small basal cell carcinoma but the "assistant" that closed this wound couldn't sew a patch on my blue jeans. It was a mess. Skin puckered and almost looking like it was overlapping. Being concerned about permanent disfigurement of my face I called the office immediately upon seeing this mess. The staff acted as if I was exaggerating and over reacting.i insisted upon speaking to the Dr. She assured me the assistant did an excellent job. Although she never saw the wound. I hadn't either as it was covered immediately after surgery without being examined by Dr. Macinnis. She assured me it would heal flat and be fine but it could take up to a year. Over five years later I have a permanent disfiguring scar on my nose. The insult came later when I receieved a letter stating that I was no longer welcome as a patient. I was "FIRED" as a patient for… politely expressing my concern. TOTALLY OUTRAGEOUS BEHAVIOR FOR A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL!

Hey she knows her business but is down to earth, she don't come on with this I'm the know it all and you just set there and take me all in., I think she would be fun just to hang out with,, forget the doctor bit.

I saw this doctor on may 1,2013 .I was dissapointed with how little time she spent with me maybe 5 minutes total time never disscussed my problem with me . I do believe she is a good dr. I don't like to be rushed in and out so quickly and be charged 225 dollars . im not sure I will be seeing her again .

Felt rushed through the appointment.Was supposed to have a body check and it was forgotten. It seemed like the doctor did not believe me.
