Dr. Colleen Owen Mclemore

I had to cancel an appointment while waiting for my new insurance to kick in, and now they won’t answer the phone. I have tried to reach them for over a month, leaving multiple messages with no response. To top it all off, the office staff is rude. The Dr. herself is fine.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mclemore since 2005. She is the most caring and with compassionate ear that is always willing to listen. I consider her not only my doctor but a confidant who is always there when I need her.

Our grandson saw her for ADHD. When the healthcare plan changed she refused to give him a last Rx for his ADHD while finding a new provider and waiting for a new patient appointment. Basically threw him to the wolves.

Front staff is very unprofessional

Why would you have someone as a receptionist with horrible people skills? The front office people are rude and sometimes just mean. Once I appeared at the desk to pay for my visit and they wouldn't speak to me...the inference was for me to speak first. I out-waited her...but it took awhile. Why, oh why?

This woman had me on 5 different psych meds! I did not want to be taking that much stuff, nor did I need that much. If I had a side effect from one thing, she would give me an additional drug to counteract that instead of trying something else. Very rude and condescending when I said I did NOT want to take another drug. This was where we parted ways. Beware.

I like Dr. McClemore a lot; professional, knowledgeable, easy to communicate with. Always is prompt. She stays up to date with the newest medicines and information. My only complaint, but for me, it's HUGE- availability of front office- if you need to talk to a real person or have to pick up your prescriptions from her office, or , it's nearly impossible to do so if you work an 8 - 5 type job- the front office isn't open until about 9 am; office is closed 11:30 to 1 p.m., and you can't pick up anything after about 3:30 or 4 p.m. (I may be off a bit on the morning opening and evening closing time). (You can take your chance with getting it mailed is their only solution, but if it gets lost/stolen, you're just out of luck, as it's illegal to write another scrip). I am about at the end of my rope dealing with the prescription issue.

Dr is great. Receptionist is horrible. She's the reason I changed doctors
