Dr. Colleen Mullin

I saw Dr. Mullin for my first prenatal appointment at 8 weeks. She did not do any sort of exam on me. She had me sit down in a chair and threw a pregnancy information packet at us and briefly went over the bullet points like a robot. If we asked questions she gave one word answers, rolled her eyes and seemed extremely annoyed to be bothered. The. I found out she had me tested for Hep C on my blood panel which my insurance denied. The reason she had me tested was because I have tattoos. What is worse is I had no idea she even had thrown Hep C into the panel. I ended up switching to a new OB who is everything Dr. Mullen is not in a good way. I don’t suggest anyone see this practice for your first pregnancy. It was not at all the level of care I would expect for a first time mother.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mullin for a few years now. She is always friendly, and is a great listener. She does not condescend like some other doctors I have seen. She is warm, caring and considerate and great at her job. I have also recommended her to all my friends and family, and they agree. I have no idea why the last reviewer was so irritated but her description in no way reflects the Dr. Mullin that I know. I feel very lucky to have found a doctor that I can trust and rely on like Dr. Mullin.

Made appointment with front desk for Mullin's colleague. Show up for my appointment that they scheduled during their lunch hour? After showing up 5 minutes after said lunch hour was finished receptionist took sweet time and ended up waiting another 20-30 minutes to be brought back. After doing vitals nurse tells me Dr. Mullin will be in shortly...I had not made appointment with her and even checked in for other doctor at front desk. Was told doctor I wanted to see was on vacation that week. Was desperate so saw Mullin anyways. Google seemed more helpful honestly. Was unsure of what was going on with me/wasn't concerned with massive weight loss and blood in stools for over a year. Showed no interest in getting to root of my symptoms and was absolutely non/receptive to recent research and articles regarding suspected disease. Only wanted to push drugs and/or put me in early menopause even after discussing the lack of evidence that this would do anything to help progression of disease and… pain. Became "snippy" when I challenged her approach and disregard for concern over contraindications for other health issues I have and hormonal birth control. Am now with new doctor who performed lap and diagnosed with stage 4 deep infiltrating endometriosis and had a chunk of bowel removed, was told if I had let this go any longer would likely have an ostomy bag! If you have serious concerns or issues happening please SKIP THIS DOCTOR your health and future is far too valuable.
