Dr. Sylvester graduated from Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences. He then attended and graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. He is licensed in the State of Illinois to practice dentistry. While working in the clinic at SIU, Dr. Sylvester received practical experience in Diagnosis of Dental Disease, Oral Surgery, Endodontics (root canal treatment), Crown and Bridge work, Cosmetic Dentistry, Periodontics (gum disease), Dentures and adjunctive general dentistry. In addition to the clinic, Dr. Sylvester worked at the Pediatric Clinic in East St. Louis and practiced Geriatric Dentistry at Nursing Homes in the area.
 Dr. Sylvester grew up in Farmer City, Illinois and his wife Jenna grew up in Mansfield, Illinois. He is happy to be returning to Central Illinois. Dr. Sylvester and his wife have recently purchased a home in Downs, so that he can be available to see emergencies in …our office on week-ends, holidays and nights. During his down time, Dr. Sylvester enjoys playing golf, wake boarding and spending time with family. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois Dental Association and the McLean County Dental Association.
 Dr. Sylvester brings to the practice, not only a sound educational background, but a sense of concern and recognition for the needs of patients. I am proud that he has decided to join us. We look forward to your meeting him at your next appointment.
