Dr. Concetta Maria Riva, MD

Dr. Riva was abrupt and unprofessional during initial visit. Three minutes into seeing her, without any warning or private discussion, dr announced in front of my young daughter that she was obese and should be enrolled in a heart program (affliated with her office group). My daughter was embarrassed and upset, as was I. We were there to discuss my daughter's oxygen intake, not weight issues. I am fully involved with my daughter's pediatricIan concerning her proper weight and growth. Dr. Riva's manner of input on that issue was unprofessional and unnecessary. I also had trouble getting in to see her to get test results without a hassle, even with office staff. You and your child would be better served with another pulmonoligist.

Recently changed insurance she accepts to maximize profits. Will not assist patients who are outside the Wichita area even if seen within the last week. Always states she can't help unless she sees the patient again (grabbing for you pocket strings).If you want a Dr. who gives the minimum amount of effort for the maximum amount of your money then go for it. Hey what does she care she's the only pediatric pulmonologist in Witchita. Where you going go?

She is great doctor. She has seen my son from birth for CF. I tust her without a doubt.
