Dr. Connie Kessler Hirsh, MD

dr hirsh actually took the time to listen to what i was saying. she cared about what was going on in my life. it seems that most doctors now days are in to big of a hurry to get to the next patient that they dont hear everything your saying. i was very pleased to have seen dr hirsh and would recommend her to others.

Worst office staff ever. Over three weeks to schedule an appt. Over THREE MONTHS to fax four pieces of FMLA paperwork to the corporate office so I could return to work. Continued issues with LOSING my file and paperwork within the office. None of the office staff would be culpable for any errors. Dr. Hirsh cares, but her services are not worth the effort of having to deal with such a horribly inept front office staff.

I've only had one appt at her new office. It is much farther away for me. There will probably always be a wait. However, she is worth the wait and the longer drive!! I did not like the former office but I LOVE her! She listens, and is very knowledgeable and caring. Highly recommend.

I've seen many psychiatrist over the years and without a doubt, she is the best one I've seen. She really takes time trying to figure out complicated problems. Other psychiatrists may run on time, but then those types, will just say, "how're you doing" and hand you your prescriptions. Dr. Hirsh goes the extra distance, is caring and compassionate, and very knowledgeable. She is willing to look at some alternative treatments, such as light therapy and fish oil, and will collaborate with other doctors and therapists when needed. She looks at the whole person, and considers all the medical issues. I've read other reviews on line. The rude receptionist is gone now; the ones that are there are very nice, but overworked. It does take some effort to get a first appointment, as she is only taking new patients by referral. But be persistent. She is well worth the wait.

Dr. Hirsh came well recommended by doctors and patients alike. I must admit I became a bit frustrated by the process of getting an appointment... after you send a referral in you wait for a return call. It took a month or so...then you have to fill in certain papers before the appointment is made...although you can do this over the phone the receptionist is very busy and kept putting me on hold..so I drove to the office and filled out the paperwork. Then I was given an appointment. I then arrived on time, to wait an additional hour before being seen. But once I was in the office with Dr. Hirsh I understood why. She reads all the referrals herself to see if your a good match with her skills. Also she spends alot of time with you...as much as she (and you) need to address your issues fully. So be patient, bring something to read and wait...or do like I do and make an early morning appointment.

Often have to wait, but worth waiting for. She spends more time with her patients than any psychiatrist I've seen, because she cares about them.

Too preoccupied with her own children to keep her scheduled appointments with you. Focus drifts to her children when she does see you. Unplesant receptionist duns you for money at every appointment even though you are not behind on your payments.
