Dr. Constance Houck, MD, FAAP

Constance Houck, MD, FAAP, is clinical director of the Surgical Hospitalist Program and a senior associate in perioperative anesthesia in the Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care and Pain Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital, as well as an associate professor of anaesthesia at Harvard Medical School. She specializes in pediatric anesthesiology, pediatric critical care, perioperative care coordination, and outcomes research in children’s surgery. Dr. Houck earned her medical degree from the University of Kansas Medical Center and completed residencies in pediatrics and anesthesiology, followed by fellowship training in pediatric critical care and pediatric anesthesia at Children’s National Medical Center. Board certified in pediatric anesthesiology, pain medicine, and critical care medicine, her work focuses on advancing multidisciplinary surgical care systems, perioperative safety, and high-quality outcomes for pediatric patients.
