Dr. Constantine Gorelick

I was found to have several ovarian cysts, one of them very large, though thankfully, no evidence of cancer. We did not know this on my initial visit, but Dr. Gorelick was matter of fact and professional in laying out the possible conditions, including the bad ones. After some blood tests and a CT scan, it was determined that the cyst was a type that was rarely cancerous, (exhale!), but this took a bit of time to find out, as communication was difficult due to Dr. Gorelick's busy schedule. However, when we finally spoke, he was clear and comprehensive in his description of both the problem and the proposed treatment which was a laparoscopic hysterectomy done with a robot called Da Vinci. He explained that this form of surgery was more accurate and considerably less invasive than traditional hysterectomy surgery. I was able to postpone the surgery until I had a week off work to recover, but this proved to be unnecessary. The surgery took a couple of hours, with general anesthesia, not… including prep time. I was home by that afternoon with no real pain and a few small bandaged incisions on my stomach. There were no complications, and by the next afternoon, I was almost totally back to normal. The "worst" part of the procedure was blowing off the general anesthetic. I was of course fortunate that my cyst was not cancerous. On the short follow-up visit, Dr. Gorelick was pleased at the outcome, as was I. I would highly recommend him for anyone needing an uncomplicated hysterectomy. Luckily for me, I didn't have to test his ability to deal with cancer, but his reviews by patients less fortunate than I was seem to suggest he is capable with that too.

I am an ER nurse and know about CANCER from books, articles, but also from my practice. Not too long ago, I received shocking news about my health. In the beginning, even as a practicing healthcare professional, this was a very scary moment in my life. Although after I met Dr. Gorelik, my worries were lessoned because I knew I was in good hands. I had my surgery and I was able to go home the same day. The recovery period was fairly simple, I did not have to take heavy painkillers and mostly took Tylenol/Motrin. Later down the line of recovery, Dr. Gorelik personally called to let me know pathology results, after that news my life came back to my baseline. I would like to THANK Dr. Gorelik for his patience and personable care he gave me. I would like to, also, THANK his staff for the understanding and care they each gave me too. Through this scary time that was happening to me, this is group of professionals made it less stressful!!!

I came to see Dr. Gorelick after having several surgeries for a cancer that just wouldnt go away. He was not intimidated by everything I had gone through and did a very complex but successful surgery. The tumor he removed was a very rare type and he sent me to one of his colleagues to get chemo. Months later, I had a great news to share - my PT scan and blood tests came back negative. Thank you so much for all your tireless work and a second chance at life. After being recommended by numerous individuals (both in the medical and non-medical fields) for a recent surgery of a family member, Dr. Gorelick exceeded all expectations in patient care, compassion, knowledge and expertise. His staff in the office and counterparts at Methodist Hospital treat him and his patients with the highest level of care/regard. I am incredibly thankful for his services and commitment to Medicine and his patients. This 5 star rating does not do justice to the gratitude that my family and I have for him.
