I believe each patient should be treated as though they were a relative, and that the treatment plan should be tailored and individualized in a way that provides the best care that each patient requires, the first time.I treat a variety of conditions, including coronary artery disease, mitral valve and tricuspid valve disease, thoracic aortic aneurysm and dissection and lung pathology. Special procedures I perform include high-risk and redo cardiac surgery; coronary artery bypass surgery (with, when feasible, bilateral in-situ internal mammary artery use); valve surgery, including mitral and tricuspid valve repair; thoracic aortic surgery, including valve sparing aortic root replacement, aortic arch reconstruction, descending thoracic aortic repair, open and endovascular; and robotic thoracic surgery. My research interests are focused on aortic pathology.
