Dr. Corazon C Hazlett, MD

More information from my last post. At one point, I opened my mouth to give a rebuttal, but I stopped myself instantly because she was still talking and I didn't want to interrupt her. But instead of continuing, she seemed irritated I was even questioning her and stared at me for a few seconds with a challenging/provoking gaze before she put a hand up to me and said, "I'd like for this to be a conversation" or something along the lines. I'm sorry? Am I not allowed to speak up? Why the hell are you putting your hand up in defense? Are you mad? Seems to me as if she was saying, 'you thought you could have an opinion?' It felt like I was arguing with a child who only cared about being petty. She is that incompetent.

She's a nightmare. I did not deserve to be treated with the disrespect I experienced from her today. I don't believe she knows what she's talking about half the time, and if you try to voice any opposition, she will take that as disrespect and proceed to make you feel as small as possible. If you ever find yourself at this point, it's now a battlefield and she will mainly be concerned with being hostile toward you and proving you wrong. She is condescending and manipulative, and she should be embarrassed. She often takes 15 minutes or more to finally see you in the room even though it's the least busiest office I've seen. (She has little to no patients.) She's very by the book and will not provide you with a comfortable listening space at all. Only crucify you for it. I saw poor reviews for her a long time ago, and I wish I would have changed doctors sooner. I honestly have no idea how she's still in practice. She will go out of her way to demonize you for daring to disagree with her,… makes weird assumptions/criticisms that make little sense, and overall is very unprofessional. She perceived my SUMMARY of diagnoses and recommended treatments as a plan with treatments ranked in order of importance when there was another page with my actual suggested treatment plan with medication listed at the top that she completely ignored. But even when I told her my reasons for why I did not pursue formal therapy *at the moment*, she did not seem interested or appear to be listening in earnest whatsoever. After much back and forth and dealing with her hostile attitude, she referred me to a psychiatrist. The only good thing there is the staff who are absolute sweethearts, especially Dani who comforted me as I cried.

The other reviews are accurate. No wonder she has a private practice and there are never any patients at the place. She doesn't have any and obviously she couldn't be doing anything more lucrative. There have been some nice staff but never expect to see the same ones. I think only out of work people end up there and they bolt as soon as any other job offer comes along.

Dr. Hazlett is an incompetent, unprofessional, and very rude doctor. She refuses to listen to what a patient is telling her, fails to thoroughly familiarize herself with a patient's medical history, and becomes belligerent and defensive when a patient questions her. I am very surprised that Dr. Hazlett has not had her medical license revoked by now, especially, considering how horribly wrong some of her diagnoses of patients have been, in the past. My mother lost her right hand at the wrist thanks to Dr. Hazlett's incompetence and arrogance!
