Dr. Corey Alexander Meyer, MD

Dr. Meyer was a nightmare to have. I am an 18 year old female who was diagnosed with Autism and ADHD after thorough neuropsych testing at 15. Dr. Meyer refused to accept my diagnoses and constantly said that I did not have AuDHD because I was not failing any classes (keep in mind, I went to a therapeutic school which made sure I was not failing) and that the symptoms of my ASD were only caused by 'anxiety' and depression. Dr. Meyer sent forms to teachers I did not know well to observe my 'fake' ADHD symptoms (mine are not as outward as I am inattentive). Dr. Meyer, refusing to give me real treatment for my ADHD for God knows why (I have no history of drug use) prescribed me buproprion off-brand and then proceeded to brush off the side effects I had of severe motion sickness to the point I was throwing up after a 10 minute car rides. Dr. Meyer would always show up anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes late for appointments and then ignore all of my concerns. If possible, change your psych… ASAP!

i saw dr. meyer for about a decade, and when i aged up out of adolescent psychiatry he sent me over to the adult psychiatry unit at the same hospital. i was then passed around for an entire year between like four or five different doctors during the pandemic. then, finally, i was put back under his care when he decided to pick up a shift at that center, but he was only available for 9 a.m. appointment (they know i am coming from out of state). i missed a single appointment with him due to this and when i called to reschedule i was informed i was no longer a patient of the entire hospital. he went out of his way to drop me. i was left with five medications i no longer had a doctor to prescribe them to me. i started having pre seizure symptoms and seizures in my sleep due to this. i believe this was done out of spite and contempt for myself and my family as we knew him a long time. do yourself a favor and find your child a doctor who will see you and them as human beings who deserve care

He said she did not have ADHD but suggested she take meds for it. He doesn't seem to "believe" in most mental illnesses. His negative comments have ruined my granddaughter's dreams.

My son has been seeing Dr Meyer for two years now. During these two years I have shown supported diagnosis given by numerous doctors, videos to prove my son has a mood disorder along with other issues. Dr Meyer has declined to help my son by depriving him medication that he needs due to his significant conditions. My son has been hospitalized, Suspended from school etc all because Dr Meyer will not prescribe him the medication he needs to feel better and live life less stressful. I do not recommend this doctor if you are looking to medicate your child who has a mood disorder, you will be told it’s behavioral and can be controlled with therapy.
