Dr. Corey G Solman Jr., M.D.

I regret the day I walked into his office. In 2016 Dr. Solman severed my femoral nerve during hip replacement. My life has been forever changed, Due to the paralysis in my leg. Subsequent surgery by another surgeon helped me regain some mobility with continued numbness from ankle to top of my thigh for the rest of my life. His smug responses and zero compassion added pain to injury. I would never ever recommend him to anyone.

Dr Solman consulted on my son after a car accident. WHAT A GREAT DOC! The hospital surgeon really only focused on the actual surgical spots. Dr. Solman took the whole body under consideration and gave VERY helpful advice. We felt so much more comfortable after the first consult.

I wish I didn't have to leave a star at all for this doctor!! On Jan 8 I took a fall in my house went to the ER they found no break or dislocation in my arm but recommended this doctor if my arm was not better in a week. One week later I made an appointment because I was in horrible pain and could not straighten my arm I thought for sure he would want to see me asap nope they made the appointment for 2 weeks later once at his office on January 27th I sat in his waiting room for 2 hours once called back to an exam room they took me back for xrays I never to see Solman I seen his physican assistant for 5 minutes for him to tell me they could really see much from the xray they will schedule an MRI I should hear from the imagine center in a few days. He took not time billing my insurance company $700 for an office visit and $779 for setting a broken arm that he did not set nor did his assistant tell me my arm was broke my insurance company was the one who told me it was broke. I don't know… who all these people are giving him good reviews must be his employees because nothing about his practice deserves them.

Dr. Solman replaced both my knees, the first in 2008, the other in 2010. I have had no knee trouble ever since! I swear by him and my knees. Dr. Solman is the best I am forever thankful.

I don't know where to begin to write this review for Dr. Solman. I had been declining rapidly in both mobility and range of motion for the last year, in predominantly my right hip but my left hip wasn't far behind. I first saw Dr. Solman before seeking any other Dr.'s or treatment because he advertises on the Dave Glover Show. I always heard through the show that he was the best in his field of Orthopedics and the best in St. Louis. I probably should have sought out other opinions before consulting with a surgeon, but I really value the opinion of the Dave Glover Show, so Dr. Solman was my first stop. I was really quite shocked when, after looking at my x-rays and showing them to me, he recommended total hip replacement of my right hip. I left his office in shock and really defeated because I was sure this was a problem that could be treated with medication. I then took his suggestion to have a steroid injection in my right hip to see if that could buy me some time while the thought… of surgery sunk in. That did improve my condition, although temporarily, but then my left hip took over and was now acting up. I then went in for another injection, this time on my left hip. While this did buy me some time, I knew the relief was temporary because it wasn't able to replace the bone and cartilage loss that Osteo Arthritis was doing to those joints. While I was in a semi-stable condition with my hips, I sought out other opinions from many more Dr's, still hoping at least one would say that medication could be used to treat my condition so as to avoid surgery altogether. But the consensus from every Dr. was always the same; I needed a total hip replacement not only on my right side, which was arguably my worst hip but I would also need both replaced because the left hip was going the same direction as my right hip, just a bit slower. So, after many months, many questions, many answers (most I didn't want to hear), I eneded up back with Dr. Solman. I asked if another round of steroid injections could be used to buy still more time because I still wasn't ready to face surgery. Dr. Solman explained that while the injections would again temporarily improve my condition, he didn't recommend another round if I was considering surgery at all because the injections actually make the joints worse in the long run. So, decision time had come in his office 5 months after he originally told me I needed surgery. I scheduled it for 4 months in advance because that is how booked up he is and it was the best time for my schedule as well. I asked him if he had ever replaced both hips in one surgery because if I was doing this, I didn't want to face another surgery and recovery again after having one replaced. He said while it isn't common to do both, he had performed Bilateral hip replacements in the past and that I was a good candidate for it. Decision made, I just had to wait for my surgery date to come up. I am now 34 days out from my double, complete hip replacement surgery and I am still waking every day more and more amazed at the outcome!! I am slowly gaining my mobility back, my range of motion is returning. I am able to stand up straight for the first time in almost a year (the erosion of my hip joint wouldn't allow it). I am recovering beautifully and it is all thanks to the skill and artistry of Dr. Solman. He has literally given me back my mobility and active lifestyle that I haven't enjoyed for quite a long time. To say this surgery was life-changing, would be an understatement. Thank you isn't enough for the outcome I am experiencing and will continue to experience for many, many years to come. But I will say Thank You anyway. Dr. Solman is my hero and life-saver! Lynn Gustafson

I could not be happier with my experience with Dr. Solman and his staff. I was referred to him by a friend as I couldn’t walk or move around without hip pain. I am 4 weeks out and doing well. I feel blessed to have such a skilled surgeon on my side.

The only surgeon that I let operate on me in his field. He's done numerous knee surgeries on both my knees including a partial knee replacement. Before I had that done there were days I could barely walk to my truck after work. Now I can do anything I need including riding horses and working around our farm. Thank you Dr. Solman

I had a wonderful experience with great results from my hip replacement. Dr. Solman is a very skilled surgeon and has a different technique from traditional hip replacement surgery. I highly recommend him to anyone who is in pain and wants to enjoy life again!
