Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:I chose to join the nursing profession because I always wanted something that is challenging, interesting, and rewarding. Nursing offers all of these and so much more. Being able to help others and to make a difference in peoples' lives is very important for me since I experienced first-hand how life can change from on minute to another. I know how important it is to have a healthcare team that you trust and respect, and I would like my patients' and their families to know that I will always have their well-being as my priority.What I want my patients to know about me:I worked for over ten years as a registered nurse in the operating room where I was able to provide care to patients within multiple specialties. My main focus was cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries. I decided to further my education by obtaining my master's degree and my nurse practitioner license and I joined the specialty of vascular surgery.What I do when I'm not seeing …patients:I enjoy traveling and learning about different cultures and traditions around the world. I also enjoy gardening and "do it yourself" house and garden projects.
