Summary
Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:I took an anatomy and physiology class in high school, which sparked my love for medicine! I jumped into the wonderful world of nursing as an intensive care nurse. I felt I needed to do more to help them, so I went back to school and became a nurse practitioner. I feel that as a nurse practitioner I can combine my love of learning and eagerness to teach, so that I can help others!What I want my patients to know about me:I love meeting new people and getting to know them on a personal level. I am a good listener and want to help my patients achieve their healthcare goals!What I do when I'm not seeing patients:I have two young children and two dogs that keep my husband and I very busy! We also love sports, particularly baseball and football! WE ARE Penn State Football fans at heart and rarely miss watching a game! I also enjoy reading a good book with a nice cup of coffee when I get the chance!
