Dr. Corinne Susan Sugihara

I would not bother wasting your time to see her. While Dr. Sugihara is a very nice person, her staff is an absolute nightmare. I waited a month to see her and on the day of my appointment, while in the waiting room, they cursorily verified my insurance and assumed that it was a plan that the doctor did not cover. Richelle asked me to leave their office. I wasn't being disruptive - she said I wasted their time scheduling an appointment when I didn't have insurance. I asked her to verify my insurance in front of me and was then told that the doctor did in fact accept my insurance. I understand the need to verify insurance but the way that it was handled was far worse than poor. I made the decision not to go back because I did not want to be sick with a life-threatening illness and be forced to deal with really awful people while fighting for my life.

I have gone to Dr. Sugihara for over 20 years for routine examinations. For routine exams she is fine, but when you have a test result from the lab that requires follow up Dr. Sugihara is horrible. She relies on her rude staff to give you results & she does not explain follow up procedures. I was told lab results would take 2-3 days & had to wait 5 days because her staff held the results even though I called on the 4th & 5th day. I have been an easy patient with no complications & the one time I need "real" treatment she failed to provide me with the results and treatment plan.

Dr. Sugihara misdiagnosed my post menopausal bleeding which turned out to be cancer. By the time I was correctly diagnosed, it was stage 4.
