I asked for a different physician. She couldn’t care less about my health issues.

Dr. C. Tan has been my physician for three years, I love her. Dr. Tan listen to what I have to say and she acts on it. If I complain of something beyond her, she immediately send me to a specialty clinic at Parkland. I am getting great healthcare because of her. Thank you Dr. Tan. Dr. Tan total approach to patient care encompasses all but great attributes of medical professionalism. Her personality is dry and she lacks the ability to comfortably communicate a certain degree of concern about the patient’s welfare. I personally believe she doesn't care about how the patient feel or going thru., she forms her own opinion and does not waiver.

My name is Anthony Belvin and I was a patient of Dr Tan's a few years ago. She was my favorite doctor and I miss her. When I was her patient I was suffering from chronic shoulder pain due to severe osteoarthritis which was caused by the side effects of a combination of simvastatin and gemfibrozil. I suffered for years and previous doctors would only prescribe pain relievers which didn't help. She was the only doctor who actually helped me recover after years of not being able to sleep. I sleep well now. Thank you! I also developed type 2 diabetes while under her care and she prescribed metformin. Since taking metformin, I lost 40lbs, gained 10lbs back and now my A1c is about 5.4. My current doctor said I could stop taking metformin but I told him I would be concerned about gaining weight so I'm still taking it. She would still be my doctor if it was my choice but when my healthcare, Parkland Plus, was substituted for Medicaid I could no longer see her. I hope she's doing well.
