Dr. Cornelius Le Roy Britt, MD

I really like Dr. Britt. He answered all my questions and I believe he is going to help feel better and have a better quality of life!

I needed an orthopedic surgeon and Dr Britt is the best ever. One knee replacement and one hip replacement later and he is my go to person. He is direct, tells you what is causing your discomfort, tells you how he will fix it and does it. He answers all questions and talks to the family. He is compassionate and caring without the “warm and fuzzy”. He is a Doctor in the true sense of the word.

Dr. Britt replaced my mom's knee and then her hip. While her knee replacement went very well, she managed to fracture the bone around the hip implant requiring significant reconstruction and wiring. Dr. Britt was able to protect the implant, repair my mom's bone and ADVOCATE for her care, making sure she wasn't discharged before she was well enough and had support at her home. We can't thank him enough for his persistence, vigilance and big heart.

If you have any questions, concerns, or curiosity this doc will immediately dislike you. Lots of short answers. Condescending at times. Rude. Pushy. I'll be going to Medford or Coos Bay for orthopedic from now on.

In 2008 we were in Riverton loading hay my 16 year old son fell off the stack and broke both arms the left needing surgery. We went to the Riverton hospital they kept us for more than an hour then said they didn’t have a surgery. They said we could go to Lander or Casper of course we opted for Lander my son was in excruciating pain we couldn’t make it to Casper. We get to the Lander Hospital and the very arrogant Cornelius Britt was there to meet us along with the anesthesiologist who was also extremely arrogant, my son was out of his mind with pain I’m crying and trying to explain my son’s heart condition the anesthesiologist and he said with his hand in my face and I quote “he’s on my time now” as though he was God!! When they release him from the hospital we went to Britt’s office so he could see my son before we went home 3 hours away, I asked if I could have the X-rays so I could get a doctor closer to home. Cornelius Britt informed me that it was ILLEGAL for him to give me the… X-rays that of course I owned, I was furious and we left I got them at a later date. People walk around with their X-rays or medical records everyday it was just a blatant lie to cover up his shotty work. We later had to have the plate and screws put in place by Britt removed, the Dr that did it said that the nerve was not taken care of and allowed to adhere to the plate causing extreme numbness to this day my son has numbness in his left hand and forearm.

He may be a little rough around the edges and come off as blunt, but he is very quick and to the point. He does not waste anyone's time, and does not beat around the bush. If you have a problem that he can fix, he is more than happy to care for you in the most effective way possible. If he feels that he cannot help you, or that you need a higher level of care that such a small health system such a Curry Health Network cannot provide, he does not hesitate to point you in the right direction and do what he can to get you to the right people to help you, with the help of his friendly staff. Overall a great experience, and someone I would definitely recommend to others.

If you have questions or input, be prepared. It is his way or the highway.

I saw Dr. Britt for total right hip. He is professional, no nonsense, honest, direct. When he sees a patient, he wants to be sure the patient knows what they want. If the patient is in "maybe" mode, he doesn't have time for that. That was one thing I liked about him. Recovery is all about the attitude of the patient. I was very scared. I feel I was lucky to have him as my surgeon. Thank you Dr. Britt, and your very helpful team. You were all very helpful to me.

Very short, rude, condescending with us. Demanded we get an X-ray when we had one sent to him taken 2 weeks prior that he obviously didn't know about ~ knew nothing about our situation. Left the room then came back in and said he couldn't help us. Left us with the words " Ths is very serious, you may lose your leg". I wouldn't take my guinea pig to see this Doctor, if I had one.......

Yelled at my 4 year old who has a broken elbow to stop crying, because he wadn't wasn't hurting. Tried to make a follow-up appointment with a different doctor and front staff told me we could not. Unhappy with the whole traumatic experience. Going to go out of town for ortho care from now on.
