Dr.Manse is very compassionate and caring along with great bedside manners. Thank God for him,he saved my life. He immediately ordered a spinal tap and started the ivig promptly after.

In my 20+ years in the health care field as a (now retired) Nurse Practitioner, I have met doctors who make really inappropriate comments to patients and this is one of them. He made erroneous and bizarre comments and is a poor listener. He did not have a correct history before or accurate diagnosis after my test. Furthermore, he also gives out nutritional information in direct conflict to my LICENSED Nutritionist recommendations even though he is morbidly obese himself.

Workmen’s Comp. sent me to him, he didn’t even look at my x-rays he went by the report all he ever talked about was vitamins and don’t eat too many meals a day never really examined me so how could he tell anything was going on and when it was every time I would telling what would happen and where I was hurting he just said we have to try something else. Finally did a nerve test got me in to get a shot in my spine. Then sent me to work conditioning which only made it worse. Finally when we were all done he was supposed to review for Workmen’s Comp. but it never got done so I had to go back and see him another time to get that done. As I was waiting to get some reports I heard the nurse say well it’s basically done but we don’t send this in until we get paid. I called their office three times asking when it was going to get sent then because I knew it was done because the Workmen’s Comp. lady had helped him finish it. They did not send it until two weeks after they got the money from… Workmen’s Comp. Therefore they held up me getting any kind of help from Workmen’s Comp. No bedside manner I’ll he did was push vitamins which apparently his wife sells because He has posters all over his office. Always telling silly little jokes did not make me feel comfortable at all seeing him. I felt like I got nowhere and I left there at depressed every time. And it hurts to sit and drive for an hour and a half and that’s what I had to go to every time I had to go up there. Never never again

Dr. Mance provided a good nutrition program for me. He also provided a hydration drink that I take everyday which helps me on my road to recovery. I recommend Dr. Mance for anyone who needs a good neurologist.

Treated husband for MS for 2 years. Went to Vanderbilt. Dr said no test results pointed to MS. Throw medicine away. Instead he had pernicious anemia. He never liked you asking questions and he even turned his chair around to avoid me when I did ask.

I left crying. Felt he had not listened and did not care.

I was referred to Dr Mance while I was a patient in Parkridge East. My friend had told the ER nurse that I was "incoherent" during a phone call the day I was admitted for a serious leg infection (F). Dr Mance ordered a brain MRI before he saw me. When he did appear in my room, he was on about the 3 days I mainly slept (M-W) & made an off the wall comment that I could have hurt someone (assuming I was driving during this time). He was rude, cut me off, was not interested in anything I had to say. I was never "incoherent". I couldn't hear my caller & kept trying to have him repeat what he was saying (there was someone else present). Dr Mance made an inappropriate comment to my nurse, saying he was messing with my head. If he really believed I was having mental problems, that was totally inappropriate!!! Even after A costly & unnecessary MRI he didn't offer the results (normal except for a few old lesions from MS), ordered a brain scan. My primary doctor laughed about the… whole situation, but said he didn't like to cancel other doctors' orders, so I did. He didn't leave it alone even after a normal MRI & my doctor & nurse telling him I was totally alert & competent ( I wonder why he asked them). I am a doctoral level therapist. I talk to patients who have been referred by doctors, family members... If I didn't listen to them, I'd never get an accurate diagnosis! (And my patients are all supposedly mentally or emotionally incompetent) Dr Mance's refusal to let me say anything was outrageous! Not knowing my friend's comment referred to the phone call on Friday, he was off & running with the days I slept. He even pointed out I had slid to the floor. I could have cleared that one up too, but he again cut me off & said I didn't know why. Well, I did, so I fixed it. I had put my new memory foam mattress on my box spring. I had difficulty getting up into bed & had to literally slide out. I slid onto the floor a few times - so, I've removed the box spring. No medical treatment needed. My experience with Dr Mance was, at best, frustrating, at worst infuriating. I always refer my patients back to their physician or to a specialist to insure there is no physical cause for any of their symptoms before making a working diagnosis. I also work closely with a competent psychiatrist. Patients deserve to have a competent diagnosis based on all the facts we can possibly ascertain.
