Dr. Cornelius Robinson Meadows, MD

I take Xanaxand have been for 30+ years, visited the doctor as a new patient with him as my PC provider. He would not prescribe what I had been taking for so long but , prescribe the equivalent of Seroquel. WHICH is not anything like what I have been taking. It is for symptoms that I do not have. I am so disappointed, not just in Dr. Meadows but, in the younger doctors today, that just prescribe something without consideration to the patients history AND to the fact the what he prescribed was not for the same diagnosis! the problem is not with the doctors but, the government regulations!

Excellent doctor with a fabulous bedside manner. Highly recommend for a primary care doctor.

I have been seeing Dr. Meadows for several years and am very pleased. He is always so cheerful and genuinely cares for his patients. He not only asks how I am doing but also about my family. I have some health issues that present different symptoms than usual and also doesn't respond to the typical medications. He has been wonderful with working with me when other doctors basically said there was nothing they could do. When a specialist was needed he would refer me to one and every one of the referrals have been great doctors. He is one of the few doctors that I have felt like I can trust and they have my best interest at heart.

I've been seeing Dr. Meadows for a little over a year now and I've been really happy. He gives me his time and attention while I'm there, but also understands that my goal is to be there as little as possible. I did have a similar billing issue to the other reviewer and the office staff embarrassed me in front of a full waiting room. (To be clear, the issue was not that Dr. Meadows coded it wrong, but rather that the billing department failed to file it with the correct insurance.) That was horrible, but I love seeing Dr. Meadows and would highly recommend him.

The first time I went to him i was pleased with my appointment. However, this past time I was not. He coded my appointment incorectly. and the office staff refuses to correct it, and now I am stuck paying for a bill that my insurance refusses to pay for. He is treating me for my Thyroid and I went in to have him check my levels because I felt like it was getting off. However, it was marked as "weight gain prolems". Even though he did a blood draw, etc for my thyroid, etc. BCBS filed it as a "weight gain appt" which they do not cover. The office refuses to refile it correctly. I will not go back to this doctor!

On my visits with Dr. Meadows he seemed to be very caring, however, I found his medical knowledge inferior. He told me that he did not think that 170 blood sugar was too high. He prescribed a different diabetes medication for me. When I needed a refill I called it in to my pharmacy. When I arrived to pick it up, I was told that the Dr. did not refill it, and would not until I came in for an appointment. I went through the weekend without my medication. I called the office on the following Monday and was told to leave a message for his nurse (which I did)She did not call me for 2 days, and when she did, she left me a message on my home phone instead of the work number I had left for her. I called again the next day (by the time I got the message at home the office was closed) and again left a message for the nurse. She called me back and said that she would send a "text" to the doctor and call me right back. After no return call, I called again the next day and left yet another… message for the nurse. She finally called and left another message a week later on my home phone while I was at work, indicating that the doctor had called in a refill. Meanwhile, I had been without medication for over 2 weeks! Metformin is not a drug that anyone would abuse. I think that Dr. Meadows needs to learn how to be more compassionate! I would not recommend him to ANYONE! My experience with his office has been totally unacceptable!
