Dr. Decker is proud to call Eau Claire his home town. After attending the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire he continued on to the Marquette School of Dentistry where he earned his degree in 1973. After graduation he decided that there is no place like home, so he returned to begin his practice. After 37 years he still enjoys his profession and it shows. He is proud to now have many 3rd generation patients and this loyalty from his patients is always reciprocated. He has always focused his practice on whole family care. He enjoys interacting with patients of all ages and shows genuine interest in their lives as well as their dental care.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, Wisconsin Dental Association, West Central Wisconsin Study Club and the Academy of General Dentistry. In 1993 Dr. Decker took a special interest in Forensic Dentistry. He has continued his education in the area of forensic dental investigation and identification at the Dade …County Medical Examiners Office in Miami, FL, the Wayne County Medical Examiners Office in Detroit, MI as well as other coursework with the Pensacola Medical Examiners Office in Pensacola, FL. In addition, he has studied in Washington, DC with the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology. He has aided in human remains identification for the Eau Claire County Sheriffs Dept. as well as the Pathology departments of both Eau Claire hospitals. He is a member of the American Society of Forensic Odontology.
Dr. Decker has a very diversified list of interests including race cars and hot-rods, boating, scuba-diving, movies and traveling. He enjoys spending time with his wife of 32 years, Jane, their 2 grown sons and their wives, and two new grandsons Corbin & Max, along with the ever growing assortment of canines in the family! While he enjoys a little more time away from the office these days, he hopes to continue to provide the finest of dental care to his patients for many years to come with the help of his wonderful dental team at Oakwood Hills Family Dental.
