Dr. Cory Thomas Carpenter, MD

After a stressful night in ER with my 93 yo father with a wonderful Dr on staff, I had to come back for the same issue - a few hours later - hpost op bleeding. Dr Carpenter was so rude to me that I spent the next hour in tears! Arrogant. Talked over me. Would not listen to me. No compassion. He absolutely apologized later saying he meant no disrespect, but he did mean it or he would have treated me like a human being and not a bother. I hope he reads this and learns from it. There was no need to act in such an unprofessional manner. I also reported my experience to AGH. I hopeno one else ever has to go through this and if he is on staff again when we come in, I will request another doctor. (He did take care of the issue! So he is competent in medicine! But he needs to work on bedside manner.)

I was seen by Dr. Carpenter three years ago in the PRMC emergency room for a heart rhythm problem. He took time to explain the ramifications of my problem, as well as the treatment options. His bedside manner was respectful, compassionate, and calming. He followed up before I left the ET to ensure I felt fully informed. Dr. Carpenter is personable and knowledgeable!

Went to the ER, and was VERY disappointed with this doctor. Extremely arrogant and I felt like I was bothering him. He asked a question and didn't even wait for my response. He cut me off right in the middle of my sentence. VERY disappointed!
