Dr. Cory Thomas Strobel, MD

He was rude and would not listen to anything I was trying to tell him. We were very excited that we may finally get some answers about my daughters stomach trouble. Once we got there, I did my best to explain everything that was going on. He proceeded to constantly interrupt me resulting in him misunderstanding me and telling me I didn't tell him certain things when I was actively trying to. Then tried to tell me that her trouble was her own fault. She's 3 years old. I have social anxiety and my daughter has Sensory Processing Disorder. This visit was incredibly stressful for both of us. *Side note: I know how the internet is. I assure you we have tried everything the doctors told us to including diet changes, assessing her stress level, etc. before getting sent to a GI.

We have seen Cory Strobel for 1 year and each appointment has been negative, awkward, and rude. He has made inappropriate jokes; one that was a blonde joke concerning my daughter. The final straw that caused us to leave permanently was when we were at an appointment requesting Miralax to be given by our daughter’s school at lunch time instead of 10:30 am. I felt this was a simple request but, he seemed to be annoyed by it. When I explained that the nurse at the school had requested this time change, he yelled, "I don't give a D*$n what she wants!" This caught us by surprise that he would yell this at us in front of our daughter and we immediately got up and left. He was offended that we were offended and followed us to the front of the office and stood in the door way intimidatingly as we spoke to the office manager about finding a new doctor within the practice. The office manager was so intimidated by him standing there staring at her, that she kept concernedly looking in his… direction as she was taking our information. The next day I received a phone call from the school nurse. She had received an order from Dr. Strobel telling her to cease and desist giving ANY Miralax. He wouldn't even let the nurse continue giving it at 10:30 am. I believe this was done by Dr. Strobel vindictively because we left when he began yelling and cursing. This hurts my daughter and is not fair to hurt her because of the disagreement I had with Dr. Strobel. Dr. Cory Strobel is a bully. I have filed a complaint with Tennessee Department of Health Office of Investigations.

My son was born with a "rare condition" and Dr Strobel claimed to know all about it, when in reality, he proved he did not. We wasted our time the two times we did go. He was not willing to listen to me at all. He is a "one solution fits all" kind of Dr. My child deserves better and more personal care than that. I am so glad we have since transferred to better more educated care.

This was the rudest doctor I have ever seen! He was not professional and no help at all for my child! I wouldnt recommend anyone to him unless they want to come out of his office feeling degraded

Dr Strobel was degrading and treated my son in a very negative manor. Was not organized and spent over a hour ranting and treating my son like he was fat and stupid! My son has a low self worth and Dr Strobel acted just like a school yard bully! I will never go back and will ensure everyone I know of that may need a Pediatric Gastroenterologist knows of my son's experience!!!

Dr. Strobel is a highly intelligent, highly competent, and compassionate physician. Our initial visit was very thorough and he addressed all of my concerns. If your child has stomach issues, Dr. Strobel is the best choice for a gastroenterologist.

My son had an appointment today with Dr. Strobel. I was a little nervous after reading some of the reviews, but was completely surprised. Dr. Strobel was everything you could hope for in a doctor. He was very professional and knowledgable and did not make us feel like we were being rushed. He was warm and welcoming and took the necessary time with my son. I would recommend him to my friends and family without hesitation.

my kids LOVE Dr Strobel... he is great with my boys... found out they both have reflux and after Dr's treatment and lifestyle adjustments... they're doing great!!!!

I think Dr.Strobel is an excellent dr.He has been my son dr for many years. He has been there when needed. I would refer him to any one who's child has stomach problems....
