Dr. Cosmin Dascalu, MD

I went to see Dr Dascalu because I had a lot of pain in my foot for a couple of months, on and off. After taking xrays and learning that I had severe pain in my toes of my right foot my podiatrist recommended that I see a Rheumatologist to see if I might need treatment for Psoriatic Arthritis. Dr Dascalu came into the exam room and stated that he had seen me four years ago. At this new visit he did not examine my foot which did not hurt at that moment. He said I had a lot of fat on the toes, that I have osteoarthritis, and that I should have had my flat arches fixed. I am sure he did not look at my podiatrist’s report or at the xrays. He handed me the paperwork I had brought in and said nothing else. I felt like I was being treated as if I had wasted his time! It turned out that a wound had developed between my toes because of pressure from a bone. I am lucky I got help from a doctor who took the time to examine a patient and to listen to listen to what is being said.… That is what we look for when we go to a doctor, is it not?

I have been a patient of D. Dascalu for only over a year and from my experience, I have been extremely happy with his care. He is compassionate, attentive and really listens to your complaints and concerns. He explains his treatment plan in detail and follow up care is exemplary.
