Dr. Courtney Catherine Ladika, MD

Dr Ladika did not address my health concerns and was unprofessional, dismissive, and callous. Dr Ladika refused to interpret or discuss my xrays and would not prescribe a medicine to help with significant diarrhea for over 1 month. Dr Ladika did not want to refill a topical medicine cream that was over 10 years old and expired. As with many other negative complaints, I found Dr Ladika to provide negligent care.

If 0 stars was an option, that would be my rating for Courtney Ladika. She’s very cold, disconnected, and does not care what about her patients concerns. If you go see her due to an issue with pain, she’ll treat you like a druggy who’s just looking to get high. I went to see her because I am having awful hip pain. I struggle with pain from major scoliosis surgery that I had 16 years ago and have been seeing pain management doctors my whole life because I was born with scoliosis. My whole skeletal structure is a mess due to it as well.. I told her I don’t need to be on opioids or narcotics.. I JUST NEED TO MANAGE MY PAIN AND FIND OUT WHATS WRONG! Because I’ve never had hip pain before. She told me I need to meditate and go see a Psychiatrist to learn how to “view my pain”... in other words, I’m crazy and this pain is all in my head even though I’ve struggled with pain my ENTIRE life and have had many doctors verify that there is indeed adequate reason for me to be in pain. My husband… was not buying that answer, so he demanded that she give us a more viable option to manage my pain & see what’s going on with my hip. She prescribed gabapentin even though I told her I’ve been put on that in the past and it didn’t help, Just made me depressed and feel awful. She “checked out” my hip pain by not even examining the area actually in pain, just had my pull up my shirt and looked my my back. Didn’t even touch me. She also didn’t even look at my scans! She asked if I had them send over. Right before this, a nurse confirmed that he could see them in my chart... which means she didn’t even look at my chart!! Needless to say we filed a formal complaint with the front office and I demanded that I see a different doctor because I’m in so much pain. When my situation was explained to the Triage nurse she made me an appointment right away and labeled it as urgent because she is worried about the pain I’m having. It’s sad that a nurse who just hears about my pain takes me more seriously then the Doctor Who had me sitting right in front of her. Don’t waste your time. She’ll just ignore your concerns and treat you like you’re crazy for real pain you may be having!

How does a Dr. perform and examination without ever touching the patient? She sat with her computer in her lap and rattled off questions. REFUSED my request for a dermatologist referral for my obvious eczema, REFUSED to order a colonoscopy (last one was more than 5 years prior) saying 10 years is the new norm. Didn't listen and even cut me off when I explained my last colonoscopy revealed a precancerous polyp and that my mother had colon cancer at about my age. She very sternly said "I'm NOT referring you." When I complained of a rather severe pain in my hip, she shrugged her shoulders and said, "Yeah, that happens when you are over weight." Maybe so, but can a doctor be sure of that without an x-ray...or even looking at the hip at all? Thank God she at least renewed my blood pressure meds.

She listens to me much more than any other doc I've ever had... That is so important!

My husband saw her for the first time today. The fact that he needed a refill for Hydrocodone became more important than his health issues. She yelled constantly and did not listen to his recent health issue ( stroke). She left then came back accusing him of going to Orange County seeking drugs. In other words instead of listening to my husband, who is in a wheel chair, she ran a drug report!!! I am 72 years old and have never been treated like this.

Have had 2 visits totaling maybe 30 minutes. Maybe we need more time...

She was cold and seemed irritated by my questions regarding my severe back pain.

Caring and pleasant to talk to, spent time discussing what was going on in. My life to get to the bottom of my issues.

She is a quack

Dr. Ladika communicates well with her patients and has a good bedside manner. She is very quick in her assessment with a clear and concise plan of care. Difficult to get visit as a" new patient".
