Courtney Thacker Mckillop

Medicine has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember, and working as a nurse only deepened that passion. I find fulfillment in taking care of people and being present for them through some of their most vulnerable moments. Becoming a family nurse practitioner felt like the next natural step; the specialty allows me to build lasting relationships with patients across all stages of life, and to care for the whole person, not just their illness. It is truly a calling for me. \n Compassion, collaboration and respect are at the center of the medical care I provide. I listen to my patients to understand not just their symptoms but their lives, and then work with them to make informed, meaningful decisions using my clinical knowledge and my nursing experience. I am committed to advocating for my patients, staying curious and continuing to learn so I can provide the best care possible. \n I am married to my high school sweetheart, and together we have two children who keep our …lives fun and full. We love getting outdoors together. We are also consistently involved in our church, by both attending and volunteering. The relationships I have developed at my church keep me grounded and joyful.
