Dr. Courtney Elizabeth Turner, MD

I've been seeing her for 2 months. She acts as if she knows everything, and you're stupid. She treated me as if I was a drug addict looking for a fix. It was known that I had been dealing with anxiety and depression for almost 5 years, and I only sought her help because normal anxiety drugs from my Doctor was no longer working. I voiced my opinion on how I felt I needed something stronger due to this and she immediately became toxic. Also I mentioned that in a therapy session how I was feeling on that day, which was hopeless, and maybe I should just stop seeing them both and she completely went deaf to my worries. I honestly hope she hasn't been the cause of any suicides.But if you want a psychiatrist who will listen, not get upset, and really want to help then do not go see her. She wants her questions answered and that's it, she does not care how you really feel, if you try to elaborate she just brushes it off and moves on to the next question. I highly recommend avoiding her.

I wish zero was an option for this review rating. My mother was seeing Dr. Turner for the first time and couldn't find a parking spot outside the facility, which made her 10 minutes late. She refused to see my mother because she has a strict policy and wrote her as a no show. My mother told the front desk she desperately needed to see someone and she needs help. I asked where this policy was and they said well that's just her policy. They said they probably had some papers hanging up somewhere but she couldn't show me where. So even though they knew my mom has had suicidal thoughts and needs a different medicine, 10 minutes for Dr. Turner was worth the chance of my mother possibly doing something drastic. All because of lack of parking. She refused to even come out to speak to us about the situation. This woman does not care about your well being. I also heard a lady laughing about the situation behind the front desk. This is an organization that deals with fragile people and they need… to be treated with compassion. If you're looking for someone who cares about you, then do not go to Dr. Turner. Side note: The first time my mom went for her intake appointment and drove 45 minutes, she arrived and they forgot to call her and tell her that the intake specialist called in and wouldn't be there.

I went to the Prestonsburg Clinic to seek help for depression/anxiety. I had severe postpartum depression and was still struggling. I started counseling there and was not getting the help I needed. Asked for her, because I wanted to see someone who is trained well in mental health issues. Went to see her and was immediately turned off by her cold and robotic personality. She did not seem very interested in helping me and literally asked me, "well what can I do for you, I only deal with medicine." I left crying. Not at helpful environment in the least. Thank God I'm not suicidal or I probably would not be around to write this review.

She is highly recommend but how do you get ahold of her
